As of right now I think we still need to give it to Nash due to his multiple 50/40/90 seasons. Curry is coming in hot though and can do some unreal things no shooter has ever done before

You gotta take into account Curry's higher shooting volume when talking about 50/40/90 and the absurd amount of 3's he takes.

Better scorer: Curry (Nash an underrated scorer though)
Better shooter off-the-dribble: Curry (Nash could do it also)
Better 3pt shooter: Curry
Better overall shooter: Nash
Better peak as an overall player: Nash (so far)

FG% doesnt always determine who's a better shooter.

The fact that Curry averages more 3 point attempts and FT attempts with similar efficiency gives him the edge just that alone

Nash was a better player and Curry now was a better shooter than Nash ever was.

Durant is in that club and Curry is a better shooter than Durant too

Curry for his career: 6.2 3PA per game
Nash for his career: 3.2
Curry's highest season: 7.9
Nash' highest season: 4.5

Nash's best season efficiency wise came in his 11th season in the league: .455 on 4.5 attempts per game.

Curry's 3rd season: .455 on 4.7 attempts per game.

The maximum 3PM Nash has had over his career was 179.
Curry had 166 his rookie season.

Nash has better shot selection, but it should be clear from anyone who has watched the two that Curry has the better stroke. He can create his own shot at will. He's only going to develop further from here as well.

Then Steve Kerr should never be considered a good shooter then bec he didn't take as many.
And why does Curry have to jack up so many 3's anyway when you have other shooters in the team. Thompson, Green, Barnes are at their peak years.

Because.... He is very efficient at is and is their best offensive weapon

Nash was insanely elite to do that 18 years. That means he had to compensate for any tiny slumps by going straight off the chart.

Nash is more consistent. Curry will give you some really terrible games like going 0-8 behind 3. I think Curry would probably win a shooting contest between the two though

Both have a very similar form from 3, I forgot how identical it looked.

Curry couldn't beat his head coach in a shooting contest
