Assuming he had modern medical technology which could have helped some of his ailments from his size. This monster of a man graduated high school at 8'4'" and was 8'11" and 440lbs and STILL GROWING at the time of his death
Would have been able to bully Wilt like he was a small child
At that point your bones and joints are just way to frail to pretty much play any sport.

I have seen video before of Wadlow playing basketball. He was a project to be sure.

LAWL, I love it, a guy who lived in the early 20th century time-travels to the early 21st century to get the benefits of today's medicine, then goes back somewhere in the middle to play basketball. These "what if he played in the 60's" scenarios become all the more complex. :lol
What will happen if Wilt, Russell, Oscar, West and Baylor fly to the 30th century to receive the medicine and genetic enhancement of that era, doctors clone them 100 times over, then they fly to pre-colonial America to be glorified as gods, then back to 2014, form their own league in the USA and challenge the NBA to an inter-league battle (the losers, minus Bosh, will have to time travel to the Jurassic period)? :confusedshrug:

We're probably never going to see an 8 footer in the NBA let alone someone 8'11, and if he is he'll likely be doing nothing but shortening his lifespan every time he "jogs" down the court.
Only 36 years separated the birth of Wilt and Shaq.....And even though shaq wasn't as athletic all around they were very similar in the fact that they're huge and unusually coordinated/athletic for people their size. So it wouldn't surprise me if someone comes along in our time and Alphas the **** out of everyone. Maybe even on a similar level of dominance you imagine the 8 footer having... But instead of being 8 feet tall, he'll be as big or slightly bigger than Wilt/Shaq but with a wingspan in the 8ft+ range. Keep your fingers crossed, if the pattern continues at least the new Wilt/Shaq is now 6 years old

No... he is the same height as Shaq.
Wadlow has nearly 2 feet on Shaq and a foot and a half on Sim Bhullar :oldlol:

trolling aside, it is inevitable. Nutrition is evolving and MUCH more money is put into sports nowadays. We will see another monster in the next 10-20 years. 7'2/7'3, athletic and coordinated. Will he be skilled?... that is the question.

Wilt dominated because he was tall.
So was Big Bob.
Put 2 and 2 together, people.
Wilt would no longer be called the most dominant regular season big man of the pre-3 point line era.

OT: Imho Wilt has nothing on Shaq physically.
But, did Wilt start to roid late in his career/soon after? Anyone? He looks more muscular in the 80ies than when he played, wtf?
(Ofc Diesel also roided btw)

with that logic a 6ft bieber could hold wilt because he lifts some weights ... the height weight differences are about the same (wadlow-wilt, wilt-bieber) :lol

Don't knock someones logic when you're saying someone that was brittle as **** and that died before the age of 23 could hold his own against a world class athlete who wasn't far off from being as strong as the raw power lifters of his day

I'm sure the guy who needs a cane could stand his ground against that.
We'll never see someone that big healthy unless he's a genetically engineered freak beast

This from 1968...and BTW, the kid grew to 7-4. Surely he dominated the NBA, right? Oh wait...he never even made it in the NBA.

Wadlow was the man.
I'd say 60, 29 boards, and 18 blocks a game.

Many doubt it's him in this pic.
This isn't a 7'9 man, unless the guy next to him is like 6'4.

That's the current NBA, though. Where guys can dribble the ball without looking at it.

If Wadlow played in the NBA in the 60s Wilt would have played his whole career for the Globetrotters.
