What's impressive about peripheral vision?
Irving is the one who made that play by making a tough shot over a defender.
That's the benefit of playing with a Kyrie.

Kids at my gym make plays like this on a regular basis.
He made up his mind he was gonna pass to Irving, and was overly obvious about his gestures toward Marion, which in turned fooled no one on the D, and Irving is forced to make a tough layup over Solomon.

I've seen a pick and roll pass from Ginobili through a players legs, much higher difficulty and execution recently.

Just looked at it again, kinda agree. The pass it self is nothing special but the play is relatively nice, both in it's deception and execution.
Plus, the Cav's commentators say the same lines over and over again.

I would probably comment on the overall ball movement from the TEAM and swinging the ball all over the court as more impressive.
that play is just the commentators jerking off an average pass.
He fooled the hell outta me aswell watching the game, he waved Marion in, screamed, pointed and stared at him like "come on man, move here, fast!!", defense got that attention and got prepared for, then BAM! flicks it to somebody else inside, the way he wanted all the time......
You know, this is a new kindof no-look pass when you think about it.... usually someone would just look at somebody else and pass somewhere else, making the defense guess where you will get the ball between 2 sides.......
But when you do like this Lebron did here you make it very obvious where the ball will go, wave, point, scream at the teammate to make a move so he can pass and everything, this forces the opposing defense to totally commit to that play/pass.... thats where one guy starts sneaking behind in the background for a wideopen look........ its like baiting.... bait them in, they hook and then you do the opposite..... its kindof... genius.....

I remember the back injury and him dropping a damn near 50 point triple double with a game tying 3 point floater on 2 very athletic dunk contest finalists, another long good defender who was still a good defender in 2005, and and all d first team tough bigman.
Old bad back...13 games left in his career Larry Bird...has a 49/14/12 game guarded by Clyde drexler:
http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn200/nbacardDOTnet/zz%20NBA%20Photo%20Gallery/y%20Crazy%20Shot/z%20Comparison/The%20Big%20Ticket/n%20The%20Glide/9cd09814.gif
And
Jerome Kersey:
http://i1146.photobucket.com/albums/o524/aloncho11/Kersey.gif
And all D Buck Williams who nobody ever called soft....and a little by Cliff Robinson who was still All D team as late as 2002(with Kobe, Duncan, and KG)) and ive seen guard Lebron well.
Bird matched up with these 4 people...much healthier...younger...and more athletic. 2 of them all D teamers.
Hes on his last legs. Would play like 2 more weeks.
He hands out a near 50 point monster triple double. as the 4th winds down...he hits Drexler with a spin move and nails a 3 point floater to tie that today would be a 4 point play.
Celtics go on to win.
Past his prime with a soon to be fused back he can serve up teams full of long athletic defenders...but not todays long athletic defenders I suppose....

Durant was knocking at the door for a long time and last year, he was statistically more dominant and his team record without Westbrook and the fact that he's plays in the West pretty much negates anything you just said about LeBron being the best.

He said he was arguably the best and Durant has improves significantly as an overall player since then. And Durant surpassed Lebron statistically last year, and he was always better when you gave him the "eye test"
But hey, anyone who says LeBron isn't the best doesn't know basketball! LOL... you spew the stupidest shit on here. I didn't feel bad for you until you said "Im probably older than you" :facepalm
LeBron is not the best. You can't just hold on to the past or else Kobe is the best... Duncan is the best........ hell, Jordan is still the best because there was once a time when he was. Times change kid, and they change fast. Durant was widely considered the second best until last year where he took the next step. It's not like he came out of no where and is all of a sudden proclaimed the best like an Anthony Davis or whatever.
And to sit here and act like people don't know basketball because they don't slurp up the LeBron hype like a dumb troll like you? Like I said, I feel bad for a dumb guy like you. Probably never played a sport in your life. But you're a bball expert because you've been watching ESPN for the past year or so.

People are impressed because they have no hand eye coordination, and like you said, aren't athletes themselves.
These people are basketball novices. "no look" is a buzzword and these fat slobs eat it up and praise a basic pass.
I'm much more impressed with Irving's ability to finish the layup over Hill.

It just went from good pass to most overrated pass of all time. Irving was open as hell but far away from lebron enough for him to see on a 180 axis. He just looks at a different player and makes the basic pass. Its really that simple.
I understand that lebron stans are starting to lower the bar but geeez

If somebody is within ur 180 vision then its not a no look pass. Because you can still see them. Behind the back and stuff is a no looker.
This was just a no f
direct eye contact pass lmao

But it's a no look pass?

Why didn't Lebron just shoot it? He was wide open like 12 feet from the basket.

I cringe at the posters saying this is a great pass.
Makes me wonder if they have played ball in their lives.
Straight forward pass, no bodies in the way, 8 to 10 feet away, player was wide open.
LBJ himself was wide open as well, no player anywhere near him. A nice play but nothing special.

This is one of the few true "no look" passes I've seen Lebron actually throw. Typically he looks away after he's made the pass. This was nice. :applause:
I've always thought the same thing, not necessarily just with Lebron's passes, but more no-look passes in general. Most no-look passes are pass the ball and look away passes.
And yes, cool play.
