as a 35 year old...on 12/21/71... 31 pts, (on 12-15 FG/FGA), 22 rebs, and 11 blks.

So we can't count the any potential triple-double by a center in today's game, then?

 so as long as someone from the 60s didn't match Kobe it's legitimate to compare them, otherwise its not. :oldlol: :lol :lol

Of course, Kobe is a legend and I admire his longevity and work ethic. In the battle between the stans and the trolls none is right. Kobe is one of the best ever, but far from the greatest.

far? being top 10 all-time is not that far, the difference is literally only about the accolades that some players were fortunate to have. Kobe's as skilled as any wing player in NBA history. He's the 2nd greatest perimeter player behind Michael Jordan. He's dubbed the greatest Laker of all-time by guys such as Shaq, Magic & West. Dude's literally up there with the greatest of them and he's proving it in his 19th NBA season...

Having that many assist in this joke of a team is amazing on its own. Kobe would have more double doubles if this team didnt suck so bad

Jason Kidd didn't score 20+, let alone 30+, but he did post a 19 pts 16 Reb 17 ast stat line at 36 years old, which is as impressive as what Kobe did tonight, if not more.

Didn't a 35 year old Wilt score 45 and pull down 27 rebounds in the 1970 Finals?

Probably younger, but definitely in his thirties.

iirc, Paul Pierce had 3 triple doubles (including a 27-14-14 game or something) on his last year with the Celtics, after Rondo went down...

What Kobe did was extremely impressive though...:applause:

With the way Kobe is chucking shots this year he is bound to have sone good games

But the reality is for every game he has like this this season there will be 10 more that he chucked the lakers out of any chance of winning
