Well to be quite honest I've only played a fraction of ODST and a little bit of Halo Wars. So I guess they'd top Halo 4 then.

Halo 4 just doesn't feel right. Reach is soo much better its funny. The campaign for starters in Halo 4 was a bold attempt but inherently flawed from the getgo... The storyline was good but the COD like mechanics and the lack of balance amongst the weapons really killed it for me. The enemy AI was definitely a step down from Reach, which was some of the most intelligent AI enemies I've ever seen. Made for spectacular gameplay on Legendary... The Prometheans were a nice attempt at new enemies but I didn't really enjoy them that much. They were more annoying than they were difficult.

The multiplayer is definitely where it took the biggest hit though. What made Halo so great was that everyone starts with the same weapons, and powerful weapons are spread across the map in spawn locations. This emphasized area control on maps and minimized 1 hit kills with powerful weapons...

Minus the armor lock and Reach is pretty good. Also if you forget the retcons in the campaign.

jumping from Halo 2 to halo 3 was like jumping from Diablo 2 to Diablo 3. Game sucked mad dick with a huge downgrade in gameplay.

Never played Halo 1 or 2 jumped on the Halo wagon with Halo 3 so thats my favorite halo of all time.

Reach had a much longer lifespan than H4... H4 died like 6 months after it came out. Also, the maps in Reach >>>>> H4.
