This game is painful to watch.

Van Gundy's rotations are terrible. Monroe is the best player on the roster, and he barely plays or touches the ball. Pistons need to get rid of Josh Smith... give him away if they have to. Drummond has regressed and is playing with no confidence. Jennings is their best guard, but he's reckless... so SVG plays a journeyman in Augustine way too much. This team is a mess, which is probably why they're losing to the dreadful Lakers, in their own gym.

From what I see, the problem is that they have a bunch of guys who would be nice roleplayers and pieces alongside a championship team but putting them together gives you mediocre results because they don't bring out the best in each other.

There's no real star on this team who can do everything and get everyone else going. There's a lack of IQ all around and just inexperience. A guy like Butler isn't going to save them and Josh Smith isn't the answer. It doesn't matter who the coach is, it's hard to coach a team that's so limited.

Even on good nights for Greg Monroe, he seems to max out at around 18-22 points. I'm not usually one who believes in needing a big money superstar - but I think Pistons need at least someone who's capable for going off without being on super fire (which is the only way Jennings ever hits).
