All of them except Kobe , who is a voter lock.
Maybe Westbrook who has only played like 3 games.

He's the most complete SG right now and by a good margin.
I don't know how closely you've been following him but he's been the undisputed best player on Dallas this season and he's doing it on both ends.

Sure.
Ive seen enough Maverick games and can easily pull up his stat sheet. He doesnt have the credentials. Plus common sense in knowing that the all star game has a popularity factor.

Did you just watch him today???
Popularity factor only works for the starters though--coaches vote in the subs. And he should absolutely be a coaches' pick.

He has absolutely not been the undisputed best player. No qualms with someone claiming that, but undisputed? Just no.

Monta has been setting up Dirk far more than Dirk getting Monta looks. Dirk is basically a spot up shooter for 3 quarters now.
There's also shit you can't quantify, like Monta's massive iron balls at the end of games. He's basically doing everything Dirk did at his peak.

I caught the overtimes and end of the fourth. Clutch. Lots of shots.
:facepalm
1)Curry
2) Kobe
Starters.
Harden
CP3
Westbrook
Reserves.
I was being kind so I didnt mention Lillard who will make it over him as well.
Ellis has been one of my favorite dudes since his golden state days. So it's not like I'm hating on him. Just the way things are.

Jesus....just no to the bold.
You aren't factoring in what Dirk brings just by being on the floor. Honestly? I bet Monta gets more good looks because Dirk is on the floor than Dirk gets from Monta.
Whatever....dude has been great this year, but you are going way too far with it.
Again...Tyson has been our MVP. He's anchoring a horrid defensive supporting cast and giving us like 11/11 while setting great screens and setting the tone for toughness.

Tie breaker usually comes down to team record. I'm assuming both Houston and Portland will have better records than Dallas.
CP3 will probably get the nod over Lillard if the Clippers have a top record.I don't see Westbrook getting in considered he missed time and his teams record.

West is stacked at guard.
Curry
Westbrook
Paul
Harden
Lilard
are all clearly better players. Then you got guys like:
Parker
Thompson
Matthews
Kobe (who's a lock based on popularity)
Ginobli
Lawson
Dragic
Bledsoe

I guess this is appropriate for this thread:
"We wanted Monta to have the ball at the end, to hit the shot and to get out of there," Carlisle said. "Look, that's an All-Star, flat out. The load he's carried on this trip has been phenomenal. Winning two games without Dirk ... Monta Ellis is having some kind of year."

Klay Thompson is clearly better than Monta and I say that as a Mavs fan.
I love Monta. He can have it all, but the massive overrating of the guy by certain individuals on these boards is getting quite ridiculous.
As it stands, he is at the bottom of a top 10 list of best guards in the West.
Curry, Klay, Harden, Paul, Lillard, Kobe, Westbrook are all above him, with Lawson, Conley and Wes Mathews having very solid arguments to be above or equal to him.
He is definitely playing at an All Star level, but so are 10 other guards in the West. If he was in the East, he'd have a better shot at an All Star nod.
Now just enjoy the season Monta is having and quit trying to force Monta "Top Guard in the West" Ellis down everyone's throats.

2 spot up shooters, a guy who's best skill is that he can gain fouls and the biggest underachiever of the past 5 years .
Monta is easily top5 guard in the league Kobe, Wall , Westbrick , Ellis , Lillard .

Once again, another terrible post in response to my list.
Like I said, Ellis is somewhere in the 8-10 range when ranking Western Conference guards.
If any GM came to Mark Cuban and was offering Klay, Paul, Harden, Kobe, Westbrook, Lillard, Curry, Conley or Lawson....he's probably celebrating and letting Monta know that it was a business decision, not a personal decision.
Also, Wall isn't in the Western Conference, I assume you meant Curry instead.

My point was that ellis is a top 5 guard in the league not just in the West. Kobe, Westbrook, Wall , Ellis , Lillard (not with that order)

Also it's the first season that Klay averages 20 points per game. He is lower in steals and assists than ellis. He is a spot up shooter, how can he even have a case over Ellis.

He deserves it, but West is so stacked with guards, that I don't he will. Kobe(due to his popularity), CP3 automatically get voted in as starters. For other guards we have Curry, Westbrook, Lillard? I don't think he's gonna make it. It's just unfortunate that he's playing in the west.
I can't believe he's never been an all star. It's due to happen some day. Or we could just put him on the list of best players to never make an all star team.

He should make it no doubt. But I doubt he will. He's been snubbed over and over again. And now he's back in the Western Conference, which is stacked at two-guard with Kobe, James Harden, and Klay Thompson.

Kobe, Curry, CP3, Westbrook, Haren, Lillard and Klay. They all are in my opinion more likely to make it.

Ellis is having a great season but the West is just too deep. He won't make it.
