Tenchu, twisted metal 2 world tour, resident evil 1 and 2, dino crisis 1 and 2, crash, tai fu, overboard, time crisis, point blank, castlevania, theme hospital, diablo for local co op, warhammer dark omen. So many great games on playstation.

I still have my original playstation and I have a ps2 running in a virtua cop cabinet for light gun games from both generations so i usually hook up a regular controller and play my psone games on that these days.

I know I wasn't the only kid playing this!

for a one-off game (not a series), had awesome 3-d fighting, with teams, awesome signature moves for each character (masta killah and odb was my shit). Odb had a drunken master fighting style. What was also cool and unique about this game was you could press pause mid fight, OPEN the gaming system, put in your own cd with whatever music you like, and it would play while you're fighting. Really dope feature at the time.

Wow. Crazy to think it's been 20 years. I remember when this system was demo'd at a local festival before it came out (or shortly after). They had Madden on display and the thing that blew my mind at the time was their assertion that the user could watch the computer play itself from anywhere inside the Silverdome.

Crazy how it's already 20 years old, launching late 1994. That was still when SNES was coming out with some good games like Donkey Kong Country 1,2,3 though. I don't think people started going crazy around my area about it until Final Fantasy 7 in 1997 and MSG in 1998.

Legacy of Kain - Soul reaver has to be one of the most underrated games of all time. Such an in depth game that just played perfect and had some of the coolest shit in it warping between the worlds and sucking up souls while having your jaw missing. Raziel was a great character and this is one of those games I distinctly remember making a point of sitting there playing it until I finished it.

May be wrong but a lot of these games weren't owned by sony were they? They were put out but other publishers and so there would be licensing issues. Plus they probably need a bit of work to do the HD remakes and some companies are dead or have been sold and may not have the original code. I agree though if there was a quick way to just sharpen up the graphics alittle so it's more in line with our imaginations then I would be all over it. I'd buy a PS4 specifically for them even though I already have a lot of them on my vita and media pc via emulation or for my original psone anyway. I would love something like classic packs that contain say all of crash on one disc, all the psone tony hawks on one disc, res evil 1 and 2, dino crisis 1 and 2 etc.

A lot of these games are available on the psn store. Sony has been pretty good in making a lot of these older classics available. It's something I wish Nintendo was more open to doing.

I got down on both of those even if Croc was kinda juvenile; I was only like 11 I guess. He was fun to play. I would play it right now if I could.

This thread almost made me cry. I remember creating levels in THPS2 and playing them for hours on end, and whenever we would land in the spike pit... my friends and I would argue about who's idea it was to place them there.:oldlol:

Or the first time we played on of the tomb raider games and it starts with you sliding down a hill and having to time your jumps perfectly or else you get caught in a pit of spikes(a recurring theme from the games I played, I know). That shit had me wide awake the whole night, I still remember running down a hallway while the walls were closing in on me and I had a huge bolder behind me. STRESS!:eek:

I remember the multitap parties we would have at my boy's house...three 32 inch TV's all with playstations attached running 4 player games of crash team racing/Twisted Metal/Smackdown/Madden/whatever... honestly it was the sickest thing...dudes used to fight for invites and try to carpool to get to my boys house.:oldlol: :oldlol: :oldlol:

I hated the graphics, the disc loading took too long and there were some truly awesome 2D games (graphically) at the time that didn't make me go gaga over the system. It was horrible, but there were some fun games like Wipeout and Resident Evil that I could play for hours. It was really hard for me to tranistion to 3D since the games weren't as fun.

Set up an emulator and get some roms and you can relive them.

I used to skate in real life so I'd spend hours making places we used to skate around here in thps2 and then playing it in game. I remember making one level of our school which was cool, had all the handrails we used to skate in real life.
