How is Trevor Ariza even starting in the NBA? Jesus christ. :facepalm

Dude is such an overrated defender. AND he can't hit open shots to save his life. What use do they have for him on the floor?

The worst defense I've seen in months. I'm a bit pissed, I hate the tendency of this team to start poorly, almost all matches have to overcome 10 or 12 points.

Really bad first half but props to the Rockets, they did great. Memphis should defend and rebound much better if want a comeback. But the Grizzlies seems gassed.

Yep and even if the Rockets are down 4 important players they been resting for a couple of days and you can tell, is like Memphis is stuck in mud.

James "Black Jesus" Harden with 21 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and 1 block in 3 quarters to help the Rockets beat one of the best teams in the league, the Memphis Grizzlies, without Dwight, Jones, and Bev.

Top 5 MVP candidate

no one is high on the grizzlies due to their recent playoff outings and the three rockets fans on this forum are screaming "championship contender" when they've never even seen the second round yet.

we have no choice but to wait and see at this point.

Difference between those teams this team is borderline elite on the defensive end.last season if you shut the Rockers offense down, we would struggle, but this team now can now win in a variety of ways

He is better then parson on the defensive end by a country mile. He moves the ball unlike parsons and costs around 6 million less per year. Have look at the rockets defensive transformation largely thanks to Ariza.

Now we need to take care of business in Minny and Phoenix at home. We can't afford any let downs and keep this defensive intensity that has become our staple this season.Dropping a game here and there in the west will cost you dearly.

I have to admit I thought Terry was done, but in the last two starts he is averaging 17 points 5 assists 3 boards 3 steals on over 50 percent from the 3 pt line.

WTF? Can someone explain the game to me? Houston really spanked the Grizzlies without Howard? :biggums:

Most of Terry's points came off of open 3s. I knew he could shoot, so him scoring from behind the arc doesn't surprise me. At his age all he needs to do is stay healthy.

D-Mo doe, that guy has been playing like crazy lately. Knew he had a post up game but the problem is he kept getting bushed and bullied around the paint. He's just playing more physical now. He bumped the crap out of Z-Bo and Gasol and it didn't affect his game at all. I'm really surprised by how big he's been getting lately.

Way to go D-Mo. If he keeps playing like this, I don't see a reason why T-Jones should start over him when he comes back.

He had a couple of nice drives. One was an and 1and another floater. He moved well for a 37 year old dude. Granted he hasn't played for a while so his legs are fresher then an average 37. Year old.

This Houston team is deeper than people wanna give them credit for. Not only that but Houston is finally committed and focused on playing defense. Our offense comes an goes, which is expected when you're missing the best center in the NBA, 2 other starters, and your back up PG.

Defensively though everyone's on the same page. McHale is getting this team to play defense. This is a complete turnaround from last season. Proud of them. :applause: A depleted Rockets team just held the best team in the NBA to under 100 points, and the only reason they almost got to 100 is because the scrubs came in at the end game and started TOing the ball like crazy.

Can't wait for Howard and Beverley to come back. This team is gonna be scary defensively.

No depth, lost all-star Parsons, no defense, Harden is Hitler, lost All-Star Jeremy Lin, no center depth, Harden plays no D, Morey is a fraud, worst off-season, won't make the playoffs

I still rep Houston, bud. Doesn't mean that I can't call out players on the team. Exactly how I'd call out Perk or Lance Thomas for being ass.

Ariza IS pretty bad. His defense IS overrated. His terrible play just came out of nowhere this season.

That, or they'll say 'wait until the playoffs' because every other jab and remark about the Rockets this season has been, well, totally off.

Everything that was predicted about Houston has been completely off, and even without 65% of their scoring and a similar percentage of their rebounding from last year, not to mention a HUGE defensive presence missing (Beverley, Dwight) the Rockets keep winning.

It must sting for the haters, but, the Rockets are legit.

YouGotServed

I like how everyone ignores the Warriors bouncing in the first round last year and the Clippers being Conference Finals virgins when discussing the Rockets.

It's like, we get it, you hate Houston. Bringing up last year's playoff performance isn't a legit argument doe. Find new material.

They can win the west. I don't see the older guys repeating. Lack of motivations, and they never won back to back titles.

They really hate the heat last years after they beat them in the NBA Finals in the previous year. And the Spurs Achilles heel this season are against legit big men like Howard, Gasol, and Cousins.
