View Full Version : Why does Pau seem so rejuvenated?

He had looked mediocre on the Lakers for YEARS. Not being utilized properly was only an excuse for ONE of those years. Was he dogging it in LA?

He quit after winning two rings. No drive. Constant trade rumors. Now he has a fresh start and something to prove.

And Shannon Brown jumped over him and into the lap of his girlfriend.

April will be a special moment for him.

His first win in a playoff game without Kobe.

Will end his career without one win in the west however.

Lebron fanboys missing out on a golden opportunity to criticize Kobe here. Pau averaging the best numbers of his career at 20/11 all at age 34. Imagine what he could have done during his prime years, which were his Laker ones as the first option.

Players tend to bring their best when they play for chicago. We are a huge sports town and the fans love the players.

It takes very little to stay relevant.

All you have to do is jump ship or play in the east.

Pau did both.

Kobe is going for something much bigger than Pau can attain.

Looking forward to him winning his first playoff game without Kobe :applause:

Now wouldn't it be funny if the Bulls got swept in the 1st round?

I agree, it's not happening :oldlol:

no late playoff run for the last two years and limited overall play last season gave him some much needed rest...

my only critic of Pau was his heavy summer schedule of playing for the national team when it was clear it was wearing him down in the nba season when the lakers were going so deep into the playoffs

meaning he has to stand around and watch, and get the offensive rebound when kobe bricks it and pass it back to him

For all the idiots saying Kobe, please explain why Pau didn't look like this last year.

And then explain why he had his best and most effecient years as a laker.

And explain why his fg% went up 7% immediately after being traded to the lakers while not having to sacrifice his game at all.

I think change of scenery was much needed. After Chris Paul veto trade he felt unwanted in Los Angeles and people were so quick to criticize him and call him soft.

Now he joins a team of unselfish guys and a team that utilizes his skill-set well.

Some dumbass Laker fans were even saying Jordan Hill was a better player lol.

You are right, it s not directly because of Kobe, but indirectly because of him.
At first he was the man of those Lakers teams. After he got robbed of his FMVP, he was like **** that. I do all the hard work and the rapist and chucker get all the credit. He gave up on the team.

I agree with the first paragraph . For some reason when he's not motivated, he gets hurt and gets bothered by little things. I think it's all mental for him. He was like that before with Memphis.

basically this, add bad coaches and a couple of injuries and even a player as talented as gasol can look bad

The NBA (Stern) ruined the lakers. That CP3 blocked trade did three major things. 1) destroyed odom's career/life 2) killed gasol's confidence/drive 3) distracted bynum enough to make him useless/careless

Those 3 things directly connected to the cp3 trade owned the lakers franchise.
