Dallas fans, were Rockets fans right about Parsons? He's one of the worst defenders in the NBA, his shot is inconsistent, he can't create for himself or others. He's somewhat good at facets of the game and terrible at others. Agree or disagree, why?
I've watched a couple of Mavericks games an overall he's been a disappointment. Any Maverick fans wanna chip in? What's Parsons been like so far this year.
Here's what his stats look like so far this year (taken from ESPN): 14.9 PPG on 41fg% and 33% from 3. 73 FT%, 5rbds/game.
If you had a choice, would you keep Parsons or sign Ariza for half the money?
Discuss.
Dont stoop to the level of Lakers fans.
Everyone knows Lakers fans were wrong about Dwight. He's been a beast when hes healthy, which is about 92% of his time in Houston.
Everyone knows Rockets fans were right about Parsons. He has some good games, and some bad games, but rarely does anything worth mentioning. He's just... there.
They overpaid. They know it. No need to rub salt in the wound.

Everybody knew he was overpaid in the deal. Sure Parsons isn't the best player in the world but the team is clicking and I am sure the fans wouldn't take back the signing if they had the choice.

They probably wouldn't take it back, but if given the choice, they sure as shit would do something else with that $15m.

I don't think Parsons is gonna suck the entire season, but man he's been a huge disappointment so far. Rox did great by getting Ariza at half the price.

Cuban is always a step ahead
It won't seem like an overpay when yall see what the next batch of re-ups are after next year. Parsons will be an expiring $15 mil deal when guys worse than him will be getting like $60 mil

Defensively, Ariza has been so much better than Parsons and offensively it is a wash. Once Rockets get healthy again, Ariza will go back to getting less shots and being more eefficient offensively. He is not as good as Parsons on that end, but the defensive difference is really noticeable.
Ariza has been a lot worse than parsons
Trevor Ariza $8,500,000
13.7ppg, 5.9rpg, 2.5apg
38/35/86
Chandler Parsons $14,700,000
14.9ppg, 5.2rpg, 2.4apg
41/32/72
Not sure what 'a lot' is to you, but if the difference is marginal either way on the offensive end, there is no question that Ariza has been the superior player thus far.

This is true and Ariza isn't as good on offense so that's a wash. That being said, Parsons hasn't played well this season but he's been getting better lately.

About what? That Rockets fans are ungrateful assholes who throw their previous players under the bus? I hate fans who turn on players who leave their team.

Well I hate players who run off under the cover of darkness to sign a contract elsewhere when he wouldn't have a job if Houston didn't pick him up.
No thanks for giving me a shot.
No thanks for giving me the playing time.
No I want to stay on and win and create the most stacked team ever.
It was, 'the minute I can sign a new contract I do, good luck matching it bitches'
Good riddance. Dude thinks he's better than he is, maybe now he realizes it too.

I think everyone knows Parsons is overpaid. But he is doing alright honestly. He's not an all-star just because he got a pay day.
