He said ater the bucks game, that he is the number 1 fan of monta and that it isnt a secret that this year monta will be the go to guy.

he passed the game today (mostly) because of back injury

so: being the go to guy for nearly the entire career, he had to carry the franchise alone on his back.....and now its monta time.

does this mean, that the mavs could avoid to become meaningless and tanking for some years like the lakers? because we have a leader in dirk who knows when the time passed, who is taking stepps back, making paycuts etc and in a result the mavs being able to get guys?

Love the feel good backstory and reparation of his reputation but I'm sorry, you don't build your team around Monta as your franchise, go-to player.

He's a perfect fit in the role assigned to him right now. It just works...
