LeBron didn't play that well either but at least he got his teammates involved and wasn't playing scared in the 4th quarter.

He had 2 travels that were totally bogus, one where he faked his man in the air and drew the foul and the hopstep layup that would have put the knicks up 1. He'd be at worst the second option. Noah took on such a huge role out of necessity last season. If NYK were willing to do a S&T, then he still could have gotten his money in Chicago. Butler's growth this year (which is awesome btw) is to pick up the slack when Rose isn't going all-out, understandably so.

Knicks should have taken Boozer, scraps, and both of the Bulls' picks for Melo S&T. They're likely lotto-bound anyway this year, so may as well go for the top pick.

The one caveat though is talent wants to play with talent, so Phil's hoping FAs are drawn to money, a big city, and a top scorer. Not sure that's a great plan.

Melo wanted no part of Thibs' defensive style, plain and simple. He's reached the point of contentment. He's had a nice career, made millions in the process, and will one day be in the HOF. That's not to say he doesn't WANT to win a title, but it's not a top priority. If it was he'd be a Bull.
