Always hated that "passive" word used to describe Lebron when he is "passing to much" first of all.... this is because i see him as a PG essentially, thats his natural instincts to make plays, sure he can score pretty damn good, but Lebron played PG in HS & was drafted PG to the NBA being hyped as "The next Magic" (not next Jordan), is basically a PG/point-forward his entire career who always was a pass-first instinct guy.........
I mean have you EVER heard of a traditional Point-Guard being called "passive"? Did Magic Johnson ever get called "passive" ? NO.......... Why? Because its their job to be "passive", they are not "passive"... THEY MAKE PLAYS.......
Thats only what you call some shoot-first SG/SF strict scorer who passes the ball away to much to the point where its detrimental for the team.... Lebron is not doing that, he is creating plays, its his JOB and his team is more successful that way..... Kobe can be passive, Durant can be passive, Carmelo can be passive......

By this EXACT same logic, shooting guards and instinctive scorers can't be chastised for shooting too much.

make your all-chucker/ballhog/selfish/shotjacker teams.... :pimp:
By Chucker/Shotjacker/Selfish player i mean a player that is taking a ridicilous amount of shots in a bad FG% and having low assists or low assists/turnover ratio or low assist% based on his position & usage%.......... BASICALLY HIGH USAGE / LOW EFFICIENCY.........
Thats why it was hard to have Wilt Chamberlain there in my list because he is not like that (sure he chucks, but he makes most of it.. he is just that efficient, he cant help it lol).... but he is SELFISH like with the fury of an angry god... so it made it right... cmon.. he averaged 40 FGA a freakin game..... hahahahaha
today i gota go with:
PG - Derrick Rose / R.Westbrook / Gilbert Arenas
SG - Kobe Bryant / JR Smith / Monta Ellis
SF - Kevin Durant / Carmelo Anthony / Ron Artest / S-Jax
PF - Al Jefferson / Al Thornton / Al Harrington
C - Eddy Curry / Marreese Speights
all-time:
PG - Allen Iverson
SG - Kobe Bryant
SF - T-Mac
PF - Elgin Baylor
C - Wilt Chamberlain

First of all, you seem to have quoted another post from 2011 i made from my clowning days, how the hell do you immediately pop up these 100 year old posts/threads like that anyways, wtf!? Do you have some saved "Pauk Folder?" in your disk there stashed with all the posts i ever made or something? lol, thats amazing, creepy, but amazing! Chazzy would be proud.... but luckily, this one was one of the better posts i could even today kindof partially agree with what i said there, however two different things i / we are talking about here....
See, we dont chastise players because of their ROLE.... but we chastise for having a BAD OUTCOME no matter what role.........
You dont call a traditional point-guard "passive", EVER.... win or lose.... you call that only someone who's job was NOT to be a passer, but to score, certainly score much more.... hence he losed because of it.... this doesnt describe Lebron.... it IS his job that of any traditional point-guard ever, he is a point-forward, he is supposed to pass.... yet many people act like it isnt? He can be officially starting PG, having 0 pts but 20 assists and WIN, people will be calling him "passive" still......... thats stupid...... understand?
However, "shotjacker" you can call ANYBODY, its a description of a detrimental style of play........... because that means missing ALOT OF SHOTS...... and ends up by a huge majority of the time with a loss.... because that is many wasted offensive possessions........
But shooting alot and MAKING half or especially most of those shots? Go ahead!! No wasted offensive possessions there, a bit selfish ofcourse, but not detrimental to the outcome of the game for your team because you will more often win, unless you have the worst supporting cast ever...... as you can see with some examples of such players in Wilt.... Jordan.......

lol fine then how's this:
LeBron is a coward. He's afraid to dunk on Roy Hibbert, which is why he never tries. He was afraid of losing the dunk contest, which is why he never entered it. He was afraid that he could never get Cleveland over the hump, which is why he left. He's got a pathetically intense fear of failure, without which he would have a chance to be one of the five greatest basketball players to ever live - instead, his cowardice will land him somewhere in the 6-15 range. He's socially retarded, completely full of himself (though I can't blame him for this... the media has been hanging from his nuts since he was a sophomore in high school), and is absolutely cringe-worthy with a microphone in his face. He has lied and failed to live up to his word countless times (promising to enter the dunk contest, wearing #23 after publicly stating that no one should ever do so, etc.). The commercials he has starred in for Cleveland this year are hilariously corny, and his entire PR strategy of going back to the Cavs to "make things right" is a disingenuous ploy to conceal the fact that he's just being opportunistic again. He's a great basketball player, and a once-in-a-generation athlete, but he is very unlikable.
happy now?
I don't defend any player on ISH just because I like them. I'll crack jokes sometimes, but if I make an actual statement about basketball, I'm a 100% straight shooter and will always call it exactly like I see it.

LeBron's stats are all down too. So it obviously Love or Irving leading LeBron to have lower stats than his career averages in 5 whole categories :coleman:
In all seriousness, its most likely a player that none of them has played before, so my guess its Marion who is holding them back.
I don't think its the fact that they played on crappy teams (Irving, Love) before.

The fact that you think that you can make any of these assertions by watching basketball games is ridiculous. It gives the rep system no credence whatsoever.

By the numbers, majority of houses that catch on fire have sinks in them. Therefore sinks lead to house fires.
As a real Cavs fan are you happy with Lebron's return ? Just curious - did the real loyal home fans really forgive him for leaving 5 years ago ?
For me he was the best NBA player for the last let say 10 years - and as I posted few years ago the only one from his generation with a chanse to approach Jordan's greatness. Now it seems a much more distance than 3 years ago. Had the Heat won the Cramp game I am not so sure that the Spurs will won so easily although they looks like a better team. In the minutes Lebron was on the floor he dominated.
With that said I strongly believe that his return will brings a awful lot to the Cleveland franchise not only from pure sporting point of view. And I have the feeling that they will win one 1 or 2 NBA titles in the next 3-4 seasons.

Of course his return is awesome, anything to make the Cavaliers a better franchise is something I'm in favor of. I just enjoy giving Lebron's stans (not the same as Cleveland fans) some well deserved stick. Lebron is the most dominant player post-Shaq. He reminds me of a small-forward version of Oscar Robertson. I respect his game a great deal. However I respect his bandwagon fans who always deflected blame and slammed Cavaliers during and after his initial tenure there a great deal less. :lol

Yes, it is happen so often when we favor one specific player (not only in basketball) to blame all the others as an excuse for his own failures. Athletes are human beings at first and as such had their ups and downs.
For example Tony Kukoc was my favourite basketball player when growing up so I was very happy when he joined Bulls team (one of my favourite NBA teams). I used to watch him when he played in Europe and was rating him ahead of Pippen (or I was thinking he wast better than), he possesed great tallent and skills, unique versatile player who could play four positions. However as I was very young back then I used to blame Jordan and Pippen for not passing the ball to him enough, I also remember articles how Pippen outplaying Kukoc badly in training his rookey season. I used to watch almost every Bulls game from the 90's and was supporting Bulls team vs Suns and Blazzers prior to Kukoc's arrival. Years past and with me maturing and playing team sports I recognize that Kukoc seriously lack the aggresivness and intensity Pippen and Jordan possesed, not to mention the enourmous egoes. As good of a player he was he needed to improve in defense and rebounding in order to meet NBA and Bull's defensive standarts (I meen that 1 to 1 defense). The game is not only flashy moves and highlights and that's why Pippen and Jordan were so great - they could played both ends and were the best. And that's why Bulls won 6 title with mediocre bigs.

Honestly that's the way they need to play. LeBron needs to play the point-forward position more than he ever has with the type of help he has. Irving just doesn't see the court the way LeBron does and he doesn't pass nearly as well. Not to mention LeBron is better a driving in and kicking it out. Why wouldn't ou want to do this when you have Kevin Love and Irving behind the arc?
What I'm mostly worried about is the minutes. LeBron is playing nearly 40 minutes per game. That needs to come down.

38 minutes per game should not be a problem for well-conditioned elite 29-30 years old athlete even if we considering he is in his 12th season. I don't know if he has some health issues which troubles him then it is another thing.
Probably with Cavs continues to improve and winning more convinsingly his playing time would be reduced to 35-36 minutes.

He is a better distributer than Kyrie is. When you build a team with as many big-name players as the Cavs did, you need a pass-first PG.

I still believe in the Cavaliers (LeBron basically). He's been doing the best he can to propel his team despite all the odds against him. He's been playing the way people have wanted him to play - forget about stats and just go all-out MJ/Kobe style.. yet people still find ways to nitpick and hate on him. Haters are pathetic.
is that what you call sprinting full court to get a meaningless bucket with a few seconds left on the clock?
