I always felt that this guy was better than George Hill, and just assumed the Pacer's coach just didn't like the guy.

Skill wise, Collison is actually better than a lot of starting pgs in the league even when he was coming off the bench.

I had no idea he had this type of game, I remember thinking why the **** did the Kings sign a back up PG (I thought Sessions would easily beat him out for the starting spot)at whenever amount of money he got. Dude has been the most pleasant surprise to this franchise in a long time.
Aside from 1-2 games after he came back from a minor injury he's been a terrific pure PG, his defensive ability has shocked me early in the season he held his own against Curry and completely destroyed Lillard/Lawson and a number of other PG's at both ends. He carried the Kings to a win in Phoenix as well. I can't really remember him being completely outplayed non stop like previous PG's in Vasquez/Thomas/Brooks.
If he can start hitting the 3 at a similar clip to what he did in the past than yeah he's almost the perfect PG for this team for the foreseeable future. Dude comes to win and compete.
Every-time he goes to the bench and Sessions comes in the Kings become a complete disaster. Sucks DC/DMC/Gay can't all stay healthy they are 7-2 when all of them play and 3-8 when 1 or more of the 3 is missing.

Moved isiah Thomas out and handed the keys over to him to run the team.
I think he has relished the responsibility and appreciates the opportunity to be seen as a starter and not just a handy bench guy.

Collison is less of a ball dominant player like Thomas was
SO the guys like rudy gay and DMC now play more effective
It's a similar situation like the raptors did with trading rudy gay, all of a sudden they started playing better.
And McLemore is showing improvements, plus the team trusts each other more and the coach too.

there was that one summer where he was in every single rumor, as if he were a superstar or some shit. Hoops Hype had him in the rumors like 5x a day. It was annoying as shit.

When the Mavericks tried to make him their starting point guard a few years ago, he wasn't ready. He was so un-ready, that they preferred to start Mike James. Then, he spent a year as CP3's (the second-best PG in the L IMO) understudy. From this role also developed Eric Bledsoe, who is one of the better guards in the L now. Collison had a terrific year backing up CP3, and he was able to ready himself to take on a starting role in Sacramento, where he is now shining as Isaiah Thomas' replacement.

He had difficulty grasping who was supposed to be doing the shooting
IT2 plays like nate robinson. Spurts of some wow, and a lot of out of control.

Actually, his rookie year he backed up Paul in New Orleans and Paul got hurt and Collison played really well as a starter for about 40 games. He's never been able to put it together for a whole season. He will play very well for stretches and then play awful. He had some decent games as a Mav but then just couldn't get out of RC's dog house. I'm glad he's doing well and hope that he keeps it up.
If anyone thinks that Isaiah Thomas is a good player they must have a hole in their head. Look at Sacto with him and without him. Look at Phoenix with him and without him. That dude is terrible. I don't care that he's short and can score. He's just awful.
