It's on. Celtics playing well.
Seraphin just had a neat crossover and a quick layup to blow by Celtics, Turner responded with a pull up jumper to finish the quarter. Celtics up by 9

Truth to be told, we would be down 25 at the moment if we faced some powerhouse from the West. Just atroucious play.

The Celtics look so much better vs. The East. The first few weeks of the season was tough with all the WC teams, LA being the only exception.

Derka

There must be a checklist the Celtics go through: Things We Can Do Wrong When We Have a Big Lead to Blow It. Then they just go through them one at a time until they do as many as possible.

His shtick wore thin on me ages ago. What really kills me is that his crap drags down Mike Gorman, who is outstanding at his job and a true pro.

I'm completely ready for Scal or Max to take that seat permanently.

Beal in the 3rd
Butler to start the 4th

Jeff Green is averaging 19 points. Do the Celtics see if he's finally becoming a go-to guy and try for the bottom of the EC playoffs or does Ainge see if they can nab a first from a team that wants another scorer?

You'd expect the latter, as its Ainge. Whether that team is out there, though... That'll shake out later in the year, as it is the only team I can really see with a need would be Charlotte. And you'd have to think trading your top scorer might affect Rondo's decision in the summer.

I'm not sure Ainge really plans on keeping Rondo. I know that's what they're saying but if you are really banking on Rondo you trade the pick that was used on Smart or draft someone else. Rondo and Smart can't both be the future.

I think he's waiting to see what offers roll in by the deadline. I'd be really surprised if both Green & Rondo are still Celtics by season's end honestly. Once a sufficient asset(s) has been offered, he'll deal them.

Agreed. I think Ainge can see the proliferation of PGs in the league right now and sees it as an inefficiency to pay Rondo the max.

Still, I have no problem with the Cs running with Bradley, Smart and Rondo as the 3 guards.

I have no idea. the problem with the former is that green is probably going to opt out and command a not very pretty salary. the problem with the latter is that there are not that many good wing players we could plug the hole he leaves with.

Green shouldn't be counted on to be more than a 3rd option on a contender imo. His inconsistencies preclude him from being a #2, let alone a #1. He's a nice player and could help out a number of squads.

I haven't gotten a chance to watch much of the Cs this year, but am I the only who think Green would play best as a small-ball 4 on a team that allows him to maximize his athleticism? The same way that GSW are playing 4 out-1 in and it's allowing Barnes & D. Green to have more room to operate.

That's not going to work against guys like Aldridge or ZBo who would eat them alive.

I think Green to the Rockets makes a lot of sense, try to get back one of Jones or Motiejunas and a pick maybe?

Also good work C's, the Hawks move into a tie for 2nd in the East with the Wiz loss

You can always go big- I'm saying I think Jeff Green should get more of his minutes in a small ball line-up. He hasn't gotten a chance to do that next to a legit rim protector in a while.

I think they'd be interested, especially now that T. Jones may be awhile longer. DoMo has been a beast lately though, so HOU may wanna hold onto him.

What about Capella + 2 second rounders for Green? Capella will either really stink or be useful for rim protection. Wondering if they'd be enough for Ainge to bite since Green could walk anyway.
