Yes, its serious... when bacteria causes it. Viral meningitis is easier to cure. I expect him to return in couple of days. A week at most.

Viral isn't terribly serious unless the person has a weak immune system. Typically 2-3 weeks recovery. It's slightly worse than the flu. Bacterial is the one that can lead to lifelong complications or death.

Cousins should be fine. He's probably on antiviral, which doesn't cure but does help, and IV's around the clock. Being bedridden that long with little appetite will Cause some muscle atrophy though.

He is injury prone. Never played in 82 games ever. lebron is playing with a bad back which is serious and doesnt miss games. Back injuries are more painful.
