Injuries + stacked west

He will never get voted in because OKC is not a large market + Kobe and CP3 playing in LA

Nah, Steph Curry will easily make the all star team...and he did make it last year, so I'm not sure what you're talking about.

Both Curry and Irving will easily make the AS game, they wouldn't leave the reigning ASGMVP out of the ASG

Curry is playing as good of basketball as anybody right now, but you'd be a damn fool to place your bets on Curry over Westbrook in a series between the two.

Westbrook is going to be an AS unless he gets hurt again. He missed little time and is playing very well (though I'd like less turnovers.)

CP will definitely make it. He's been selected every year since his 3rd year. Even made it last year coming off an injury. idk what you're talking about.

Really, I love CP.. Have him top 40 all-time.

But I don't think he's the best PG anymore.. I made arguments for him as best last year, but I don't think he can hold it down against Russ or Steph anymore.

Dude's averaging 18/4/10/2 a game on 53/45/88 shooting with career highs in FG%, 3PT% and TS%.

He currently has the 3rd highest PER of his career (28.1) and is leading the league in Winshares (4.4) and WS/48 (.324), he's on pace for a career high in both WS categories.

Clippers have won 7 straight, and he's averaging 17/4/10 a game on 59/52/100 shooting in those games.

Yep. Dude's just balling, hitting j's, protecting the rock, playing good D. Insane.

He's playing nearly error free basketball and having a huge impact on his team. He's the best PG.

If you have him as best PG (Since you've been highly critical of him in the past), maybe I should reconsider :lol

By numbers, not only statistical but also standings, Steph and Chris should be starting over Westbrook. Kobe shouldnt be in the conversation if the ASG was actually basketball related. But its not since... I got older.

He's shooting better than Westbrook and his team will finish higher in the standings :confusedshrug:, Russ has only played 6 games and had a lot of time off because of a hand injury

CP3 had a rather slow start to the season, but he's currently balling. He's a much better PG than Westbrook in terms of PG play, but Westbrook is obviously a better volume scorer.

And it's nothing to laugh at, CP3 is on the tail end of his prime while Westbrook is reaching or is in his prime. 26 yr old CP3 > current Westbrook.

Westbrook is averaging 6.5 APG to 4.2 TOPG :oldlol:, and he's won 3 out of 5 full games played, and the competition he's faced is laughable outside of season opener against Portland

Since he's come back, he's had good games against shit teams (Knicks, Sixers, Pistons), shot 6/20 for 21 points and had 7 assists to 7 TOs against the Pelicans in a loss.

I have yet to see anything that impressive about Russ, I want to see how he does against elite teams and good defenses as opposed to bottom feeders.

Paul dominated the Pelicans with a 18/6/16 game on 7/13 shooting, averaged 19/3/9 on 60% shooting with only 1.6 TOPG in 7 straight road games, winning 6 out of 7.

So, Paul currently has a bigger sample size, and has been more efficient overall with much better point guard play, while Russ has only played 5 full games so far, 3 of them being against the worst teams in the league.

If we're talking about best PG in the league, it's Chris Paul. He's easily been the best at running the point and running an offense while Curry has been the better scorer. I need to see more games out of Russ to make the same conclusion for him.

I don't know what you consider a point guard to be, but Paul is everything a true point guard should be. Russ & Curry are combo guards that shoot a lot of shots, Paul runs an offense and takes games over with his passing.

Paul is currently the best player on a 14-5 team that's won 7 straight and has been balling since the team had a slow 5-4 start, winning 9 out of their last 10 games with 7 on the road is some good shit. I'm surprised at how little coverage the Clippers have gotten recently despite having turned things around. I guess everyone will jump on the wagon again once they win 10+ straight.

It should only get better for them, as they currently have a 4-game home streak on the way, then they have a couple road trips inbetween and after that they play 9 straight at home in January, look for them to have the best record that month, as they have a relatively easy schedule with only two tough road games (@Portland, @SA) next month.

ASG has always been about popularity and not actual play per statistics. MJ starting in 03 was laughable if you consider his play individually, Hibbert being an all-star last season :lol

Curry is the best this year, but Westbrook has claim to the best PG spot based on his playoff play last year.

CP3 is the best traditional PG, but not the best player at his position

Actually, LeBron might take CP3's spot as best traditional PG this year, leaving CP3 with nothing

Which one will be left off the team??? GS better have the best record or Parker is getting that spot if SA does like it alwas does. Curry will likely be voted on as a shooting guard??? Nahh, Klay/Kobe/the beard. Somebody help me?

Wall and Kyrie are better than them all, minus Westbrook. Wall is the second purest PG and can carry a team and they over achieve not ... . Kyrie is the most exciting and the best exhibition player since Kobe's prom date's brother... Ray Jay.

chris paul is the better point guard, and best point guard in the league. westbrook? FOH with that noise. he plays sidekick to durant and chucks without hesitation. in the fundamental sense - he isn't a TRUE point guard. john wall? too inefficient to be in the conversation.

whether curry is a better player than him remains to be seen. warriors and clippers will probably meet each other in the playoffs - what a GREAT rematch that would be.

Yeah it's a darn shame Luke Ridnour will get overlooked for a second consecutive year. Such is life I guess and Lucky Luke he is not.
