These days I'm working with an ABA basketball team and I've offered to keep stats for home games and road trips. The team has been using a free FIBA Live Stats computer program for the past couple years that you can download free online. The program has tons of problems and is especially hard to keep up with during these fast paced contests. Not to mention constant crashing and tough to manage. Coaches have also been complaining at the end of games that the stats are lacking. Does anyone have any suggestions for a quality program/app, for computer or possibly an iPad, that is easy to use but also accurate?

Every team in FIBA competitions use that program to post stats online (especially european competitions). How can you not use that? It's really simple.

If you can't keep up with that, i don't think you can keep up with other programs.
Btw, i will try to ask my team coordinators about his iPad program, if i can i will pm you :)

What stats are they lacking or do they think they're lacking?

As long as you have the basics down you can create more advanced stats from those

edit: you should contact this guy and see what he's using or how he gathers his info

Not sure if you guys have actually used it, but there are tons of problems with lagging and crashing. I've used it several times during games on several different computers and end up having to go by stats in the official book. I know there are much easier programs, especially on tablets.

Thanks for the inputs guys.
