I think so. Imagine it became possible to buy time. If 1 year was for sale (as in 1 year added to your life), how much would it go for on an auction? How much would a decade go for?

Certainly not from an individual perspective, as plenty of individuals appear focused on finding as many ways to frivolously waste their time as possible.

Most people would probably sell a year at the end of their lives for $1,000,000 up front, at least, so i surmise.

if a year was on sale? probably billions (srs) imagine what steve jobs at the end of his life would pay for another year
and there is a movie called in time, quite cliche but good concept, disappointing nevertheless

That possibility in itself would devalue it. By how much depends on how much time is available.

it depends, what if there were only one year in the world? one magical pill that appeared that will only be there and grant a year of life to one person, and there will never be another?
