Every generation, there's always people who rag on the "new, younger" generation (mainly due to jealousy and lack of self-fulfillment). We all know and are related to people like this.
The type who will rag on how your generation is so much better and the new generation lacks "respect, values,...", "the world is going to sht, blah, blah...."
Do you see yourself becoming this person?

No way.
My hands are already full bashing my own generation.

At 18-22, especially in college, people think they have the world figured out. There is is a nativity to them that annoys me i.e. Mr. I'm So Rad. I see myself bullying them, yes

Of course, I bash my own generation.

I think every generation actually does in fact get a little worse.
Ever seen the movie Idiocracy?

I hope not. I'd like to think that I wouldn't be stupid enough to totally forget what I was like at that age and realize they are just doing the same stuff that I did.

I don't have any jealousy or hate in my soul what so ever.
I'm proud of me... I defend me... I am all about me.
I never lump people together and generalize. I'm too worried about what I'm doing and my own life to be worrying about that sort of silliness.

I think it's inevitable.
It's because we see what path we were led down in hindsight that we look at the younger generations and see them following that same path.
Young people will always think they know it all. I did when i was young, I look back and realize just how naive I really was. Now kids (yes I can call them kids) act the same way I did in my early 20's. Having life figured out. Assuming just because someone is older they aren't aware of what is going on in the world today.
I do believe however that this generation of kids have lost the sense of the art of communication and common etiquette. Parents of my generation just don't seem to discipline the kids today like they did when I was a kid.
I already do. Kids today don't know how to post educated conversations about basketball online like we did in the early days of ISH.

You try not to but you see taking place what you already experienced between yourself and your closest friends and family. Plus young people are more immature and naturally have a larger proportion of idiots relative to other adult age groups as they've yet to mature.

Well considering there's about 5 people here who can say 30 somethings are the younger generation, "kids" are pretty much anyone can talk about here.

There's also the sense that the world caters to young adults and my generation is so out of touch with today.
What they are too naive to see is the world doesn't cater to low income students who are still figuring out life. It caters to middle income adults.
As Ive gotten older Ive realized how ****ed up teenagers are for the most part. I was definitely one of them at a time, dont get me wrong. But they are mostly dumb, fake, shallow, self conscious, arrogant, etc. They think they know everything.
For one, the slang younger kids say is retarded. I have younger cousins so I always hear it. And it sounds so fake when they say it, because theyre just copying what they see on MTV. You so thirsty! Good lord, get your own personality already.
Their music is mostly sickening. Not that mine wasnt (50 cent, Eminem, early 2000s rap), but Drake, Nicki Minaj, good lord. Not saying I listened to Mozart at that age. But its terrible.
Also, their shows are DEFINITELY worse than ours. Everything on the Disney Channel, that Ive seen, is nutsuckingly stupid. They are not close to Boy Meets World, Hey Arnold, etc. Hey Arnold might be more of a pre-teen show, but I digress.

I think it'd be hard to say our generation is out of touch. We're the bridge between the 80's and the computer age. It's our parents and older siblings who are really out of touch.

All kids shows are dumb as ****. They were definitely "way back" in the early 2000s :lol . So was your slang and music.

I always find it funny when older people bash younger generations like their shit didn't stink. Bitterness and nostalgia at its absolute finest.

I've tried to stay conscious of my era criticism. It's good to remember where we came from ourselves. If I think bro tanks are weird, I'm sure folks from the 50's felt similarly about the long shorts we brought through. That type of thing.

yes. i already see the youtube generation (the young generation that watches vlogs) as being weak and annoying in character. Me i am a 90s' and 2000's baby. Ive seen the twin towers collapse, 2 wars and a financial crisis. The worst thing this youtube generation has ever seen was a break up on ctfxc channel.

I don't think it's older generations thinking they were perfect. It's looking at things in hindsight and having the knowledge of where the younger generation's paths are going. The problem with younger generations is that know it all sense of entitlement that can't be told

As an educator, I do catch myself from time to time criticizing the younger generation. There's an element of "I would never have talked to my parents/teachers like that growing up. Kids today have no respect." Also, some of their general actions seem like things that myself and my friends/classmates would have never done, but maybe we did, and I just so happen to be seeing things through the eyes of an adult now.

This generation compared to past have been raised by more liberal and lenient parents which probably leads to kids having sex, being in relationships, doing drugs, looking "slutty" etc, at a younger age than generations past. In the 80's/90's or w/e when kids wanted to hang out they would knock on their friends house and ask their friends parents if so and so can come out and play. Is the same thing happening today? I really don't know but I assume kids aren't under the same curfews and restrictions as kids in the past.
Then there's the media turning kids into adults and shoving down shitty ideas in their throats..

I see myself bashing younger, teenager type people, whether they are from my generation, the previous generation, or future generation. Especially the teenage boys, they basically have the experience of little kids, but with adult hormones.
It's not a hate thing, but the reality that at that age people are at their most ignorant. It's the most ignorant they are going to be in their life, in relation to their own self.

Nope not at all. I will never be a person who hangs on to a particular way of life and tries to force it on everyone else like some older people. I cannot stand that. Every generation wants to carve their own path. I support the younger generations and as long as we share our advancements they will have the information to work with and it's their choice to do with it what they choose as long as it's not hurting people.

It's not the younger generation that pisses me off.
There is nothing inherently genetically or behaviorally wrong with any human beings younger than me.
My grandparents and the WW2 vets are gracious enough to extend their inehrent self-respect to my spoiled azz so obliged to return the favor for mankind's grace.
It's the culture education mediaa they grew up in that's the culprit. And millions of them don't really consume it in everlasting droves. And even if they do, they still have the wherewhital to be respectful and have a good time, so what's the issue?
