Dirk and Monta a combined 5-26.
Parsons BLOWS up for the second straight game with 30, 6 and 3.
Now we know why they maxed out CP.

It was the grizzlies plan to shut down the two best players that the Mavs have.
Parsons going off really mattered only for two quarters. Empty stats

Empty stats. Didn't impact the game the way Dirk, Ellis or Chandler usually do.

They shut down the paint, Wright and Chandler combined only 2 FGs, Dallas had nearly none layups or dunks and the Grizz dared Dallas to shoot.
Parsons was hitting the shots, Ellis and Dirk were not -> "shutting down" Ellis and Dirk yeah.....

I watched the whole game and Parsons' defense cost them the game. Tony Allen and Tayshaun prince have combined for 22 points. May not sound a lot, but for them it definitely does.

He had a great game, im not denying that. Just wanted to say something about that defense.
He hit 10 straight threes in one half against Memphis last year. Not really new seeing him get hot against this team. He's just a really streaky player... as bad as he's been to start the year, he may be going on his hot run. Good player, just impossible to tell when he's going to be good or bad.

Monta is dealing with an elbow injury as well. Grizzlies are a tough matchup for the Mavs.

Including tonight? Nope.
And Parsons has Dirk and Monta chucking up all the shots. While Ariza still averages less as the 2nd option.

Actually, you're wrong.
Without today's game he's averaging 15.5 ppg/5.1 rpg/2.3 apg/0.9 spg on 53% TS. If I the performance he had today (30/7/3/3 on 55.6% shooting), his averages would be 16.1 ppg/5.2 rpg/2.3 apg/1 spg on 54% TS...
Here's what I said a few minutes ago...

Smook ethering n!ggas with facts. Their numbers are basically identical and Ariza plays considerably better defense. Parsons defense is basically at the other end of the spectrum. Chandler bang would have a case in 2K. In the real world, where defense and contracts are relevant, Ariza is the better player. By a wide margin. Not even remotely close.

Parsons's defense knocked the Rockets out of the play-offs last season also smh. Parsons is a good defender, but not that damned good.

Parsons averages as of today are 16.1/5.5 with a TS of 54.6% per ESPN.
It isn't exactly difficult to look it up.

How come Mr. Max Salary Point Forward is only averaging 2.3 APG on 16.5 PER?

I agree. As good a passer Parsons is, you'd think he would average almost just as many assists as Lebron.
