Nets Get: Lance Stephenson, Marvin Williams, Steve Nash, Noah Vonleh

Hornets Get: Joe Johnson, Sergey Karasev, Julius Randle,

Lakers Get: Brook Lopez, Mason Plumlee, Jorge Guttierrez, 2nd round pick from Nets

Why Nets Do it: they get to unload major contracts in Brook and Joe to get Beooklyn legend and former All star Lance Stephenson and Noah Vonleh along with major cap relief with Steve Nash's expiring and in 2 years when Marvin Williams contract expires.

Why Hornets do it: they get a clutch All Star as a 3rd/2nd option that can space the floor in Joe Johnson and get rid of two underperforming players on large contracts. They also upgrade their young assets by exchanging Noah Vonleh for Julius Randle and Sergey Karasev.

Why Lakers Do it: they get one former all star with an Elite a offensive game and the potential to return to that level in Brook Lopez and another center that flashed his potential with team USA this summer in Mason Plumlee. They also get to unload Steve Nash's empty contract for this season and they get a second round pick and a great defending back up PG.

No way the Lakers are dumping Randle to get a IP center. And Nash's contract means cap space next year so no reason to trade it.
