View Full Version : Why cant ESPN change the game it is showing?
Tonight ESPN is showing Heat-Nuggets. At best this was a semi-interesting game entering the season. But right now, this is a .500 team against a lottery team. Who wants to watch this?
Meanwhile, at the same exact time (10:30), the Rockets will be playing the Warriors. Two sick teams, dominating the West, Steph Curry, James Harden.
Yet......
That game is only being shown locally, instead of on ESPN? Wtf? Why?
Is there any reason ESPN cant just change their schedule? Are there contractual obligations? Does the NBA have any reason to actually want Heat-Nuggets on National TV? How is that a better showcase for the league than Warriors-Rockets?
Why cant these TV schedules be flexible?
FYI: Ive had league pass every year since like 2007, but this year I couldnt spend the cash. So normally this isnt a problem for me.

Its a problem the NBA refuses to address. There really is no good reason not. Its better for the network and for the NBA

It's called streams. Go on reddit.com/r/nba to the game thread and ask around for stream links, or ask on here.

Take the power into your own hands and watch whatever you want. Don't tie yourself to ESPN.

The schedules are flexible. Remember the Heat 27 win streak and the games they changed? They just choose not too.

i think it has something to do with nba league pass and what they have available. like blackout restrictions
contracts with cable companies and other things. they cant just start changing up things last minute
and its also based on ratings. teams get national tv games not just for their records or great matchups. theres allot of miami heat fans out there still

Nah dog. These are high quality streams. Gotta pay up.
I got tired of the free garbage streams. It's been worth it if you have the money, definitely.
