You could always buy some whippets, a balloon, and a cracker and find out.

In seriousness it feels pretty good. You'll be relaxed, not everyone actually cracks up laughing, but you'll feel lightheaded and "silly" and maybe "slow" like slow motion. They don't need to give you the gas, but many dental surgeons will, you could say you don't want it but it'll make you relax.

They usually do it just because people are pretty tense before getting the IV. It hurts about as much as a shot (not really too much, but a momentary sharp pain), but it's just the fact you're about to get knocked out and undergo sugery that has people anxious/tense, so the laughing gas will calm them down so they can easily give you the IV and knock you out.

Don't go buy whippets and a cracker btw.

thanks dude

Im actually pretty damn nervous about being put to sleep. I never had this done before and this is technically my first surgery (if it even counts as one)

Hopefully the gas works and calms me down

Yeah I think it's pretty natural to be worried about it. Getting my wisdom teeth out was the first time I went under, and I was pretty nervous beforehand too. The gas will definitely help and like russwest0 said, within a few seconds you're out when they give you the anesthesia. It'll go smoother than you think, try not to sweat it

You're in for one hell of a painful experience IF you wake up....

Dude, anesthesia is dangerous shit. I laugh at idiots who need it for getting some damn teeth pulled out.

I pulled out my wisdom teeth myself with a knife and pliers, now you got kids paying thousands to be "put" under for a simple procedure that could be done by ones self. What ever happened to being self reliant? It's a lost art in todays world.

Nah, but I'm reading about how painful it is when you wake up.

Never had a surgery or been put under and probably never will. I'm too healthy for anything to ever go wrong.

So in reality, the actual procedure is the easy part. You literally won't be there for it. It's the waking up part that's gonna suck and you'll probably be in tears as your mom drives you home from the hospital. Good luck mang.

Wow, do you have a ******? I dont care about the pain because theyre giving me pain killers dummy

Btw, the oral surgeon still numbs the gums when you get put to sleep. So either way there wont be any pain until the next day

Oh wow, excuse my ignorance.

Like I said, never had to be performed on but I guess you're used to it.

BTW, you shouldn't take the painkillers dumbass. Someone like you, who stays at home most of the day, is highly likely to get addicted.

Please be a man for once and don't take the painkillers.

Never had a man perform on me as I'm unconscious, or even conscious for that matter.

I guess you're used to this sort of thing?
