Curry is right now on the best team and putting up terrific numbers...but in a playoff series right now, there is no point guard in the world I'd take over Russ. Dude is just dominant. Mentally, physically, basketball-wise, just dominant. It was bad enough when it was more just his ridiculous athleticism, but in recent years since going down with that initial injury he just looks so much more pissed off and tenacious all the time. Like he doesn't just go out to win games, he makes a conscious effort to destroy the opposing PG and break them down mentally.

Patrick always gets the best of Westbrook. Russ is literally scared shitless when he sees Pat coming at him. You can see it in his eyes and his body language. Beverley doesn't just not back down from Russ...he intimidates him; which is why Westbrook tries his best to act tough/hood/alpha when facing Beverley. It doesn't usually work doe, as evidenced by the borderline meltdowns Russ has had playing against Beverley.

Regardless of skewed stats, Beverley wins the mental game. He owns Westbrook's soul.
