Can't believe he was OKC's 3rd or 4th best player in 2012, and they still lost in the Finals :facepalm

Durant's 3rd option was a 50 point scorer whos a legit MVP candidate

I can't stand Hardens game, but he's the MVP so far.

Trolling aside, this dude is the MVP. Hell of a season so far. Clearly worked on his game.

I will say, though, I think it's ****ing ridiculous that we aren't allowed to question why his terrific regular season play doesn't carry over to the postseason. If he's gonna be playing at an MVP level like he is right now, I see no reason why we shouldn't judge him by the same MVP level standards we judge Lebron, KD, Kobe, etc.

I think its a perfectly legitimate point, but people are just tired of hearing it from you.

Offensively dude is on like prime Kobe level in the regular season. Ridiculously good. Need to see it in the playoffs though.

Didnt he torch the Spurs in 2012 though?

I think he just choked last season

He's choked big time in the last 2 seasons.

He played like shit in the finals that year then didn't play well against okc 2 years ago. 3 straight playoff series where he has underperformed

He played like shit in the finals that year then didn't play well at all against okc 2 years ago. 3 straight playoff series where he has underperformed

There is an obvious difference between his regular season and playoff statistics the past three years.

He needs to perform like this in the playoffs before I consider him on Durant or Lebrons level. No reason he still can't be the MVP though. Right now he probably deserves it.

2/3. he was decent in 2013. 2012 and 2014 were bad

All 3, in 2013 he was pretty mediocre. 26 points on 39% is still pretty god damn awful.

He just needs to develop his own shot, something that he can rely heavily on when defense gets tight in the postseason and refs allow physical play. Harden has all the tools, he just needs a razor sharp shot.

No I don't think so. I've joked about this before, but in all honesty he doesn't have any glaring weaknesses offensively. Yeah he relies a lot on contact at the rim..but that doesn't mean the moves aren't there.

The moves are certainly there, in the play-off's he drives a lot into contact expecting the call but often doesn't get it. Plus when team's are able to game plan for him he often takes a contested shot over making the correct pass (Assist total in the playoffs = low).

Thanks for trolling Mil. I am just glad you acknowledge the truth. I don't disagree with your resentment with James in the playoffs. Hopefully he is a different player this season when it comes to the post season.
