watch the last 1-2 minutes of regulation of kings-rockets games and it becomes so blatantly obvious why good teams get better once he leaves. he thinks he's a superstar when he's a third option at best. in the most crucial moments of the game...
- plays ariza way too tightly near midcourt and gives him a free lane to drive straight to the hoop for an easy layup
- jacks up a contested three after draining the shot clock
- team is up by 3 and instead of playing harden tight and forcing him to pass or drive, he backs off and gives harden an open look to tie the game
- kings get the last shot to win the game and he goes 1-4 flat, doesn't even look to pass it and chucks up a bad shot
guys like him and josh smith are career losers who put up empty stats to the detriment of their teammates

He was great at the start of the season, but he always falls into his old traps

I can't argue. When the Kings re-signed him, first thing I thought was "welp, another 30-win season."
Luckily I may be wrong! They may win 35 games this season...!

He basically killed this game for the Kings.

He has all the tools but is too dumb to be a great player.

Rudy just doesn't understand how to play within himself. The guy is ultra talented but his poor comprehension to make the right play will often supersede his God given abilities. It's no surprise why the consensus of Raptors fans didn't bat an eye of regret at his departure. Him leaving was met with elation and relief if anything. With that said, I do wish the man well because he does genuinely seem like a good dude.

he used to choke the exact same way in Memphis, tbh... doesn't ask for a screen, doesn't go to the basket and instead chucks up a jumper.

by all accounts, he's a great locker room guy and well liked but damn is he poisonous on the court.
i saw a few team usa games live at the fiba world cup this past summer and he had the same tunnel vision even playing with superstars

You probably don't want that to happen because Chicago gets the Kings' pick if it is out of the top 10. They got it through the Deng trade last season.

Always has been, always will be.
Locking him up as part of their core was a truly awful move. As long as he's their second best player the Kings aren't winning shit. Probably won't even make the playoffs.

Rudy has brought a lot to this Kings team. This thread is unfair .
He had a terrible shooting night but almost trip dubbed.
Kings just need Boogie back.
Kings would be a lot worse off w/ out Rudy.

Not unfair at all, He is a good player and brings so much to the team but it's a shame that a player with such talent and athleticism is so utterly retarded.

He was the main reason Kings lost the game lat night. He made bad decisions in the end of relation as OP pointed out and the Kings didn't score for the first 3 minutes of the OT mainly because he missed most of their shots in this frame of time.
Their offense in the last minutes and OT was like having several deja vus. Gay would catch the ball, shoot a contested 2 and brick it.

He just needs another taste of USA basketball. Unfortunately, he probably won't make the Olympic squad in 2016 and the next FIBA tournament isn't until 2019.
