I went to that PCC about 2 years ago. Hell, I worked at the library right next to Jefferson High School last summer. This area is getting nicer but it is considered the worst part of Portland. It's the closest thing Portland has to a ghetto.

My job in the summers is to deliver equipment to all the PPS schools and I never once stopped at the place this shooting happened. Alternative schools are usually where bad kids go because they got kicked out of high school. So this school being in a already rough area, I'm guessing it's gang related.
