For the last three weeks, Harden has been playing with Ariza, and...

Beverley - Eurocup signing 2012
Papanikilou - 2nd round pick 2014
Canaan - 2nd round pick 2013
Dorsey - Euroleague signing 2014
D Mo - Euroleague signing 2012
Johnson - 2nd round pick 2014
Terry - 37 years old, 16 mpg last season
Black - Undrafted FA 2014
Daniels - Undrafted FA 2013

Find me a worse supporting cast.

No doubt about it and he's playing the West I hate the guy but yeap dude has done some serious carrying.

Realistically Dorsey/Black should not even be in the NBA, they are undersized and terrible.

Ive honestly seen the team play well without Harden doing everything and they are serviceable. Unless you are crediting that to McHale.

By your judging criteria, Duncan probably had worse supporting cast and won 5 chips

Seriously, I don't think he's as bad as Rockets fans make him out to be. He's done an outstanding job with the NBA's version of the 'Little Giants'.

But no, I just think Harden does a great job of getting others involved in the flow of the game.

Why don't you support your team and all the players that have played above and beyond expectation so far?

We all know Harden is playing tremendously. Are you a Rockets fan or a Harden fan?

Want me to show you my Patrick Beverley jersey? It's the only Rockets jersey I own.

You just called Beverely the best perimeter defender in the NBA in the Roberson thread.

You're right though. I look at the Rockets roster, and their ceiling is 2nd round, at best. I wouldn't pick them to beat any of the other top teams out West in a 7 game series.

Splash Brothers
Bounce Brothers
Morris Brothers

...Brick Brothers - Black and Dorsey. The number of layups they have missed this year

I was stating Beverley is the best defender on the perimeter, not the best perimeter defender (he's obviously not guarding small forwards).

I think the Rockets can beat the Spurs in a seven game series (I believe they've won six in a row dating back to last season, FWIW), but I wouldn't bet the Rockets to beat LAC or OKC this season.

He's not that good of a defender, its his energy and hustle...

Beverly 13 3 5 on 43/47 Terrific D > Calderon 9 4 3 on 44/47 Terrible D
Harden > Smith/Tim/Shumpert combined
Ariza< Melo
Black < Amare
D-Mo > Dally

Which makes him a good defender. He's one of the best defensive point guards in the league. Period

Lol, you cant throw Harden into the 'worst supporting cast in the league' argument because the cast is supporting him.

I wouldn't try to argue the Rockets have the worst roster, but outside of Harden and, to a certain extent Ariza, nobody is playing with such an impressive collection of rag tag nobodies.

Gotta love the douce bags who kept saying Harden only wins because he has above average players around him like Lin, Parsons and Asik. :oldlol: There is no legit argument that can be made against Harden now.

Not only did Houston lose free agents in the summer but they've also been hit with tons of injuries this season..and yet, Harden still finds a way to win. He's taken his game to a whole 'nother level.

We are missing Dwight Howard, Terrence Jones, Papa, Canaan and Garcia. Beverley has played like 3 games since he came back. For a stretch Houston's line up consisted of:

Tarik Black, D-Mo, Ariza and Terry. Take Harden off the roster and that starting line up doesn't win 10 games in the Western Conference. Seriously, what Harden is doing is something historic. No other player has carried a team the way Harden is carrying the Rockets this year.

Harden for MVP.

been watching alot of rockets games and honestly Harden has been carrying the team A LOT. definitely Beverly has been of help but that's pretty much all Harden has right now. just watch the games, without Harden, Rockets wouldn't even win HALF of what they have won now.

So its possible then that Daryl Morey is the smartest GM in the league?

Several of these guys were not only passed on in the draft by all the teams once, but some teams twice, and several more were actually drafted and cut by the teams that drafted them. Two of them weren't drafted at all.

Morey just has that amazingly unique eye for talent then I suppose.

A lot of people underrate Harden around here but I personally think he's been an MVP candidate for 3 seasons now.

Two years ago when he first came to Houston, it was impressive that he didn't even have training camp with the team and took a bunch of inexperienced players to the playoffs in the West.
