channeling his inner Javale...But seriously how on earth none of the refs called this? The guy took like a gazillion steps, was it garbage time or what? :lol

Yes, what's the problem with that? It was posted on a greek sports site and saw the posted Vine. Is it that strange to you? lol.

It's hard for me to believe that a team of professional refs wouldn't see that. This year, I've noticed refs have been pretty strict on calling travels where the guy moves his pivot foot. But as always they are sometimes ridiculously lenient on guys taking steps, especially on fast breaks or on a potentially exciting play.

7 steps should be a walk in any era, in any situation, for any ref watching.

What's the point in having rules about dribbling if they're arbitrarily ignored?

It's an obvious travel but it's a breakaway dunk. I don't remember refs EVER calling a travel on a breakaway before.

Yeah, if it's 3 steps, not 20.

LeBald-esque. Surprised no one is claiming gather step yet.

He didn't really gather the ball until stepping down with his right foot at the three point line and then took three steps. Travel but not as bad as some make it seem.

Corey Maggette did it, now it's Brewer

he did not travel the ball was on an up bounce and the time it connected with his hand and the 2 hand grab. there was 2 steps.

i hate when even in the most obvious travel someone will try to argue otherwise. If thats not a travel then just abolish the dribbling rule.Last bounce on the floor was on the wolves logo for gods sake.

This is one of the biggest problem's with the NBA's interpretation of traveling. They seem to count the gather as once the player has both hands on the ball, but the control these players have means they could essentially run the whole court without using both hands. Players consistently dribble, take 2 steps, then do a "hop step" where they gather the ball with both hands, take 2 more steps, then go up for the shot. Every other league calls this a travel, but not the NBA.

if you pull that move back 2 back you still take less steps then corey brewer. The maggette classic move was at least on a back to the basket post-up while being guarded. This here is the worst travel in the history of travels.
