What does PER show?
It shows how Brandan Wright and Marreese Speights are two of the top ten players in the NBA
Also, Marreese Speights, took me 3 tries just to type that correctly...

He's coming off a broken foot you ****ing retard. :facepalm
He's not even trying and he's still ahead of LeBron. Durant surpassed LeBron last year and now Westbrook has surpassed him this year.

Does this "Westbrick" guy have 2 rings? Or 2 FMVPs? Or 4 MVPs?

Gotta love it.
One player has played less than half the season, and two others on that list play 18 and 16 mpg.
Obviously those three players are the best in the league.

I'm not sure how I feel about PER. It's so misleading and just doesn't seem that reliable. When Hayward, Tobias Harris, Jeff Green, Kevin Martin, Irving, Rudy Gay and Chris Bosh are ranked ahead of Chris Paul, something is wrong with this "advanced" stat. There are too many examples like this when it comes to PER for me to put a lot of stock in it.

No it doesn't, it says that their statistical output per minute is is in the top-10, but they are both playing less than 20 minutes, so they can't be compared with people playing starters minutes.
And, they are both playing awesome and having a high impact on their respective teams. Two of the best role players in the league right now.

Haha I have no idea what list I was looking at but you can replace Chris Paul with John Wall and that list is still the same.

At the end of 82 games, see where they land. Usually the list isnt bad or surprising at that point.

Durant has really been struggling based on expectations of him.
Info nabbed off legitimate general managers:
On another note, Durant has quietly been fantastic in his limited minutes. Adjusted to his usual 38.5, he's at 28/8/5 on 64.4% TS (really turnover prone though). He looks like the same player as last season to me, just less touches.
:confusedshrug:
But however, this thread is about GOATbrook. Thursday night against Curry will be great.

russ has been balling though, and its true that per has its flaws, buts its still a very good indicator of how good a player is playing. Give it 82 games and most of the time for those who plays big minutes it evens out.

Mike Dunleavy Sr. referenced PER three times in one show and it was cringe worthy.

The dude is averaging 26 ppg in 29 mpg. That's nearly 1 point per minute.

Anyone who actually pays attention to per has zero respect from me. This is one of the worst stats ever conceived. A stat that takes into account NOTHING defensively and is mostly just about points and efficiency...yeah we already have that, it's called TS%.

1 Russell Westbrook - 29 MPG, doesn't count
2 Anthony Davis - Currently injured
3 DeMarcus Cousins - Currently injured
4 Stephen Curry - 33 MPG, but yes a good player.
5 Kevin Durant - 28 MPG, Beta, doesn't count
6 Brandan Wright - 18 MPG, doesn't count
7 LeBron James - GOAT

PER is a per minute stat you idiot. Saying PER says Kyle Oquinn is better than Blake Griffin is like saying passer rating says a QB who goes 2/2 for 40 yards and a TD is better than Aaron Rodgers.
I do agree that PER isn't a great stat. It's a largely arbitrary formula. But to say it's saying KOQ is better than Howard is just false.

The only time in NBA history where teammates won MVP's in consecutive seasons was the Boston Celtics with Bob Cousy and Bill Russell in the late 50's.
