Last week a player had some of his players dropped by his girlfriend, I specifically told the whole league to not add those players, that the players will go back to the original owner through waivers. But two of the owners went on and added the players, I snatch those players from both of them and give them back to the original owner.
The two owners got pissed and proceeded to drop all their good players and just left the league. I had to add those players back to their teams, it was a real b.tich.
Now they want to return to the league since they have cooled down and seen that I added their dropped players back to their teams. I locked their teams and told them that they were have to serve a 1 week suspension for what they did and now they are complaining again. What should I do?
Unlock their teams and make them play asap
or
Let them serve their 1 week suspension.

Suspension is a bit much. Especially if these are people you know personally.

Just stand by your decision. Tell them that's actually already reduced time and if they keep complaining it will be three weeks like you originally planned.

You're the commish, act like it. Tell them what they need to do to get back in the league, if they don't want to and complain then screw em. You bend over this time, you'll set a bad precedent for all future fantasy years.

I don't think the suspension is out of line, I could actually even see not adding one of their players back to their teams as a penalty. But at the same time, was there a penalty for the original guy who had all his players dropped? I understand not completely his fault, but could also say you are responsible for your team, a lot of leagues would have told him tough luck, and then those other guys dropped players just like him and they are getting punished?
I think the punishment is fine, but I wouldn't feel like you have to do it either.

Sounds to me like you're micro managing the league and that shit sucks.
Remember, fantasy sports are just there for a little fun and nothing more.

The thing that irritates me is that before I even locked their teams one of the owners posted a message pretty much cussing me out and now this same guy is calling me an idiot because I suspended him and the other player. If I just let them play again, I'm gonna look like a push over who flip flops his decisions.

if you want to be fair, let them serve their 1 week suspension. unless time has been served while being away already (i.e. they left the fantasy league for more than one week, and their records have suffered the losses)
if you want the truth. you're a f*cking terrible fantasy basketball commissioner

or just an idiot for adding those players back on to their team who left the league from the first place.
which directly puts you in the position you are now.
what's wrong with your league -2 teams?

Suspension is cool. Or they can pay it off or do something embarrassing to get it lifted.

like letting players in your league add players you specifically said not to, then let them run off, only to then decide whether or not to immediately let them play or hand down a 1 week suspension.
embarrassing indeed.

Sounds like a mess of a league. Just quit it and join a new one next year, whether you are commissioner or not.

You don't deserve that.
I bet the guy who is acting like a prick would thank you if the reverse happened to him. Well probably wouldn't acknowledge a thank you because he sounds like a prick, but I'm sure he would stand by that decision.
Fantasy basketball is supposed to be competitive on a level playing field. If the guy dropped them by accident it is his own fault and deserves the next opportunistic guy to pick up those players. It was done behind his back, so nobody should have expected to use that advantage

WTF? Forget a suspension, kick those f@ggots out of the league.
First they tried to essentially cheat by picking up players that they knew were dropped by someone other than the owner of the team. That's scummy enough right there, I would never do a fantasy league with people like that.
Then they cuss you out because you gave the guy his players back? Why are you friends with these people?
