That is why Durant is so close to Wade in points when there's a 7 year age difference between them. If Dwyane Wade never got hurt in his career, he'd have well over 20,000 career points right now. One thing I'll add is Wade's lack of longevity is extremely overblown. He's been injury prone, yes, but at 33 he's still playing at a very high level. He's completely transformed his game in a way many thought he couldn't. He scores almost exclusively from midrange and the post, rarely gets to the line, and is stll putting up 22ppg on 50%+ shooting. His career totals may end up being underwhelming compared to his per games averages, but he's still got some great basketball left in the tank.
