meanwhile OP's story is 2 days old and KD's current feeling directly from the horses mouth, and not "sources"
The obvious answer is that they were just being competitive, no need to reach with all that bullshit you wrote....

Only losers and haters say otherwise.

I believe players sources are more reliable than ISH posters sources for some reason, but idk why... you know, ISH posters get to hang out with Kobe everyday 24 7 on that rent freeeee

He'd keep his mouth shut as he typically does.

They probably asked him about it.

Surely he wouldn't have had that strong of a reaction if he felt otherwise.

Most of the current and past all time greats look up to Kobe.

Dudes recognize alphas.

Not surprised, dude gets pleasure serving alpha's. Except Kobe isn't a true alpha like Westbrook.

Mindset of a winner. Exactly what I would expect him to say.

Of course the loser trolls on here wouldn't want to play with someone like Kobe because they prefer that weak ass bullshit leadership you get from a LeBron or Dwight. All about comfort for those clowns.

The problem is no one wants to play with Kevin Durant.

People have taken less money to play with Lebron James (Shawn Marion, Mike Miller etc)

Everyone wants to play with Durant. They just have pre-conceived notions of what's it like to live in OKC and that's what drives them away. Use your brain. Pau went to Chicago because he wants to live in Chicago, not because he thinks he can win there.

there are people that want to be liked and people that want to win.

Can you guess which one kobe is ??

Sums it up.

The league is full of betas wanting to play with each other and stack teams.

They're scared of Kobe in every sense.

I'll buy into this when a star player actually signs up to play with Kobe, I know Kevin Durant isn't.

Why would any one of these young up and coming cats leave their current thriving Teams to play alongside a already well established, but declining Kobe on an irrelevant Lakers Team? It would be an experiment at best on their part.

Unless you're in a similar shitty situation like a Rondo or a Greg Monroe, you have no reason to entertain going to The Lakers to help them get better.

Paul George said it best:

"there wasn't even a chance for me to look at going to L.A" when he was a free agent.

"I want to write my own chapter and be a player to come into my own," George said. "As great it would be to team up with a guy like Kobe, he's still built his legacy and has paved the way for himself. I want to do the same thing he did with sticking with one franchise and riding it out."

It's not that none of these guys don't wanna play with Kobe, it's just they're obviously in better situations right now and wanna pave their own way in this league , because no one knows better than Kobe, once you're connected at the hip with another Star player who is comparable or better than yourself, it can be extremely hard to separate legacies, and get your due credit.

Most obvious case of something like this is Magic and Mike's over the hill years, Magic is considered one of the best Teammates ever , yet I didn't see people rushing to join the Lakers to give him a hand after he came back, same thing for Jordan on the Wiz, mother****ers weren't leaving their Teams to Team up with a crusty Jordan in 03, and Kobe is no different. Even the Spurs, they haven't attracted any "stars", their success is based off of their chemistry, HoF veterans and Pop's system.

You Bron stans ( including the ones at ESPN) are desperate to find anything to discredit Kobe, it's a ****ing shame. Respect the man's game. Aside from the Shaq beef ( which was a two way street) and playing with scrubs like Smush and Kawame Brown begrudgingly, Kobe is not the toxic Teammate the media is trying to make him out to be in the Twilight of his career.
