He surpassed Durant last year, and finally surpassed Westbrook this week

YouGotServed

Healthy Durant is a better pure scorer at a much better clip, but Westbrook? he passed Westbrook last season especially now that he actually tries on D. He is a top 4 player right now with LBJ, Healthy Durant and Davis.

I don't even think dude is the best player on his team. Dwert >

This year he has surpassed Westbrook, even Curry has surpassed Westbrook. What really hurts Westbrook is his poor IQ, Harden and Curry are much smarter basketball players. Durant is still levels above them both.

Would be an amazing story if Harden beats OKC in the playoffs

Durant runs Harden out of town, and Harden takes revenge by beating Durant and taking the title as best perimeter player in the West:applause:

Durant will be joining Harden and Dwight soon in Houston.

Already passed? More like probably never pass...either of them.

These knee jerk reactions. Westbrook just came back and is probably the best player in the league going by per game averages and KD is quietly doing 22/5/4 in limited minutes getting back into game shape.

Harden is playing extraordinary right now, but going off of Harden's playoff resume compared to Russ's... these two players don't really compare.

I'm not saying Harden can't become a playoff performer. It's a little bit unlikely since he's already 25, but maybe the improved defensive effort and chemistry he has with Dwight will help his game in the playoffs. :confusedshrug:

On the other hand, WB was a top 2 player in last year's playoffs with numerous clutch plays. And purely speaking regular season, Harden isn't better than what Durant did last year for 81 games.

Everyone here knows Harden is a great regular season player- we've seen that the past 3 seasons. But both playoff series' he's played in a Rocket's uniform has been awful compared to his reg season play: and this was following a finals chokejob the year before(which he gets a pass for because he was only like 22, but definitely doesn't help his case). Harden did play well against the Spurs before that so I'll give him credit for that. He needs to prove to me he can be a playoff powerhouse before I can say he's better than the Thunder dynamic duo.

Westbrook definitely superior athletically but Harden has surpassed him in terms of scoring ability.

Do you fans out there that are propping up the improved defensive play of James Harden realize that Russell Westbrook is holding opposing guards to 31% field-goal percentage since his return?

James Harden may finally be trying on defense and improved, but he isn't in the same stratosphere as Westbrook when he is dialed in as a defensive player.

NY 5-23 or some shit like that

I see what you did there. There really is no argument for Harden being better than either Durant or Westbrook so you deflect and change the subject. The insecurity is strong in this one :oldlol:

He is clearly much better then Westbrook and its not even close anymore. Out of respect to KD I think Harden still has to play at this level for another seasons to pass him. Right now however, he is the most complete offensive player in the world with LBJ not himself.

Harden pretty much does it all.

SillyRabbit
01-16-2015, 06:42 AM
Harden has definitely made huge strides but I wouldn't put him above Westbrook just yet. (I hope you were joking about him being better than Durant).

Harden needs to beast in the playoffs like Westbrook has in order for him to be viewed as better.

Right now he's better than both, but there's no way in hell he is as good as Durant come postseason time.

Harden is like the Dwight Howard of 2 guards

They are 28-12. Harden is averaging 27 ppg on 45 FG%, 6.8 apg, 5.7 rpg, 1.0 bpg, 1.9 spg.

Warriors are a more deeper and more talented team than the Rockets. Harden carried them when Dwight was injured.

You may be right, but I do believe he really did not like him before. It's easy for me to believe too, because I also don't enjoy Harden's game but can't say anything this year for obvious reasons. I think having him on the fantasy team, and harden is having a great fantasy year, helping rack up those wins really softened milbuck's opinion on harden. Maybe he'll show up and clear this up.

Dude you're seriously the most condescending, smug poster I have ever seen and you're not nearly close to smart enough to adopt such a manner. It's an insult that you've appropriated one of the GOAT philosophers as your avatar.

He truly has, this performance vs Clippers destroys the series Durant/Westbrook had vs them last year.
