View Full Version : Where does Kelly Olynyk best fit?

With the Rondo talks in full bloom it has me thinking that one of their 4s might get packaged along with him, and with Olynyk's recent offensive punch he seems like the best candidate (I think the Cs are higher on Sullinger as well) to garner interest.

On a contender, I see him as a first big off the bench type who can provide scoring punch, shooting and take up space on the other end. he is also good at moving the ball, and a high character guy (won't rock the boat).

Which contending Western team would be the best fit?

I can't see the Cs trading him. Didn't they trade up in the draft to get him? They were really high on him and as long as he continues to prove them right I can't see him being moved.

Kelly would be great on a team with consistent defense.

It's sad watching him waste so much energy to trying to help the Celtics' sub-par defense.

Kelly is sick on the perimeter.

I'll admit, I haven't watched much of the Cs this year, but it seems like he could be a good fit next to Sullinger, I don't see why they wouldn't try to develop them together.

They surely value Olynyk more than Sullinger. I don't think Kelly's going anywhere.

Celtics should trade Jeff Green also. Green was a big market named player until he was traded to the Celtics.

I'd like to see him go home to Canada and play on the Raptors. I think a skilled big like him would fit really well on that team. Jonas, Amir, and Olynyk would be an awesome rotation of bigs.

Boston?

I don't understand why people are always trying to throw in players that a team has no reason to include in a deal. If boston trades rondo they won't be throwing in players just to get the other team to take the deal. It's not Boston trying to add assets to make a deal.

Where does a skilled 7 footer fit? Anywhere. Would fit the triangle pretty well

Raptors need a big man with good post game and durability. Amir has been off-injured for quite some times and can't be effective on the court for long, and Pat Patterson doesn't really have starter quality.

Exactly.

If anything gets thrown into a Rondo deal, it should be Gerald Wallace's contract.

And Olynyk isn't going anywhere; they are very high on him.
