I'd be ok with the Raptors throwing a shit-ton of money at Butler and then looking to trade either Ross or Derozan. It's only the first full year that he's playing at this high of a level but he looks legit.

Nobody's saying he's a superstar...But in today's climate, he's clearly a max player...Chandler Parsons, Hibbert, etc have gotten max deals.....

If Paul George got the max, Jimmy Butler is definitely getting the max.

He's just as good a defender, scores just as much and more efficiently, passes the ball as well and turns the ball over less, and is more consistent game to game than Paul George.

Taking position into consideration, Butler is just as good a rebounder. He also doesn't seem to have any of the character flaws George has.

He is coming off of a rookie contract and is not a 2 time all-star, all NBA, or MVP, his max money isn't that much of a max money deal.
