Do the Heat come out of the this year's West and win it all? Would they be able to defeat a newly built Mavs with Rondo leading the point, the emerging splash bros in Golden State, a fierce Grizzlies squad that's only getting better, and of course the always deadly San Antonio Spurs?
Also, let's not forget this Miami team did beat a stacked OKC squad that had Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, James Harden, and Serge Ibaka.
So, how would 2012 LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh and company fair in today's stacked west?

well considering lebron beat the best in the west twice, wouldn't they obviously beat the rest? :hammerhead: :facepalm

Wade and Lebron beasting.
Battier wasn't garbage.
With that said, OKC is simply too stacked this year.
OKC in 6.
Memphis would probably sweep that Heat team too.

I would argue that the 2013 heat that racked up that record win streak was better.

The 2012-2013 Miami Heat with Dwayne healthy AKA during the streak would beat any western teams from this year

Grizz would beat them. Badly.

wade wasn't healthy in 2012 playoffs.
Wade was damn good in that Indiana series and was great in finals against the Thunder except for game 1.

They'd be the 7 seed and would face the Grizzlies who I can't see them beating especially considering Bosh was injured for part of those playoffs

Lebron was on another level
Heat 4-2
Not when he played the Bulls...or the Spurs.
That's half of the playoffs right there and 2/3 of teams with a winning record.
Outside of the Bucks series (38-44 team), Lebron shot 46.9% in the playoffs.

Do you realize Wade wasn't healthy and Bosh shat the bed
Both averaged like 15 points on sub 45% shooting
Now what happened when Wade was healthy?
27 game win streak
Chris Andersen was the piece they needed
And he delivered
Memphis don't have anyone who can guard LBJ

He didn't even score that much against the Bucks. 25/8/7/1 on 68% TS.
24/7/8/2 on 57% TS with a backdoor sweep.
29/7/5/2/1 on 61% TS.
25/11/7/2/1 on 53% TS.
:facepalm
Would probably struggle against the Grizz because of their length. Other than that, I don't see any team beating the '12 Heat.

Heat against elite bigs? Give me the West everyday, specially if they don't have HCA.
In 2012 they face the team with the most favorable matchup and Harden shat on his pants.
2013 Spurs dominated the series and should've won.

This is pathetic..
Especially once you realize you're a Spurs fan, you just downplayed your damn team all in order to push an agenda against LeBron's finals opponent :lol
New low.

Why do ppl on this forum constantly say this? Games 1, 6 and 7 all came down to the wire while games 2,3,4 and 5 were just both teams taking turns shitting on each other.

You have to remember that the Heat roster was constructed to compete against the competition. They took advantage of weak big men in the east by playing a spread-the-floor small ball mostly. Bosh was their "big man"
If the Heat were in the West, where Gasol/Randolph/Duncan/Ibaka/Howard/Davis/etc currently are, Riley would have built the roster differently to compensate for the bigs they will face. In the east, their biggest concern was Hibbert (esp once Howard went to LA)
