Well it's not what I imagined, but I still like it better than either of the previous logos. There is still a lot left unsaid about the new logo, they basically just dropped it on facebook and instagram without explanation, but everyone is saying that the red/silver one is the official logo. That makes it different enough from Brooklyn to me, especially since they have said the team colours will remain silver/red/black which is very different than black/white.

It's their rebranding operation. To garner a more urban appeal or some crap like that.

New image, new production style, signing Drake as an ambassador, new brand altogether.

So now we get a new logo, most likely with brand new jersey designs coming too, new court design, etc.

The logo is... something. Nice idea, but of course with a rapper influencing it, it ends up with the B&W/Blackout "Brooklyn" concept that the Nets went with.

I'll start getting annoyed when the court and jerseys are looking like what Jay-Z half-assed out.

I always thought Brooklyn should have gone with the black and gold combination, using white/silver as an accent/tertiary colour.

As for the Raptors, I wasn't huge on their current logo (wasn't bad, just did nothing for me) but it's way better than their current one. But I'm a child of the 90's who if I could have watched basketball would have been a Raptors fan purely for the logo from back then :oldlol:
