No its Davis. He will be the best player until he turns 32.

If the entire league did a redraft of all current players, 100% of teams would take Davis with the first pick.

that metrosexual clean hair cut doesn't go well with the hipster beard

he should either, shave his whole head (on level with his sides) or start growing a small fro

Lets not talk hypotheticals that doesn't make you the best player because you would be selected #1 and im sure Durant would go 1st which means nothing. All im talking about is this year not the future

Durant last night looked like vintage Durant, aka #1.

Yeah but we've only seen that Durant play a half of basketball this year.

Doesn't discount the fact that Harden's been balling his ass off this year

What "hype"? Have you watched him play a game this year? He's been having multiple 40 pt games and dominating in over time.

And led the Rockets to a 10-3 record with like 4 players missing, including Dwight. There is no hype. Just reality

Even Millbuck is a Rockets stan now

you guys are falling for regular season hype.

until a guy shows you he can be dominant in the playoffs, you really shouldn't give him elite respect - because until he does that, you don't really know if his game works at the higher level of competition... it's like not knowing if a college star will really pan out in the nba.

trust me, your predictions will work out a lot better this way.

that's how i know westbrook is better than harden - westbrook has shown his dominance transfers (increases actually) to the higher competition level (the playoffs), and the ultimate competition level (the Finals).

otoh, Harden's WS/48 gets halved in the playoffs... and not surprsingly, in his one Finals appearance, his disappearance cost his team the championship.

Really....Really....You're blaming a role player for the reason the Thunder didn't win a ring.Thats like a laker fan blaming Lamar Odom for why the lakers lost to the Celtics in 08 come on with that weak argument.

Um yea. Harden's performance in the WCF that year was what got them over the hump against a really good Spurs team.

As a 3rd option, that Thunder team was frightening. He then completely flamed out in the Finals. It's not the sole reason Miami won, but it's a reason. He was nonexistent out there. Rumors were he was partying way too much out on South Beach.

Agreed, good post. His lack of elite mid range game is why he suffers. Refs swallow their whistles, defenses get tougher, less easy buckets at the time, and people defend the 3 ball. Harden's production, and impact then drops off a cliff.

KD was the best player last year.

Playing well against 3 trainwrecks in the east must have confused some people.

This is not news.

Harden's WCF series vs the Spurs is one of the most overrated ever.
