It's about what you should be doing if you are rebuilding. Going to need one or more of those players to develop to an allstar level tho.

Ainge probably doesn't think Rondo is a max player and that's what it would take to get him to stick around in his prime through rebuilding. I'm not sold on Smart either but when a guy is obtained with the 6th pick you know that the team is betting on him. The pick and Rondo's free agency made it clear that Rondo's days in Green were numbered. Oh well. Lottery time. For a long time.
