I don't like comparisons because all it is is speculation.
I would like to see them go head-to-head with Zeke & Dumars.

But is it possible to compare between any backcourt from the 80s and 90s because of the rules? People like to say the league was tougher back then I like to think the rules are soft today.

Imagine Zeke & Dumars vs Curry & Thompson jail ball rules.

Who wins?

What are other backcourts that can compete?

Zeke and Dumar's win regardless of the rules. This hyperbole over Steph and Klay is ridiculous they haven't achieved anything.

Even Rose and Butler right now could give them a game.

I think when people call them the best they are talking about shooting only. And they are probably the best ever. At least from three point range.

That's a strong statement.

Not even sure they're the clear best backcourt of the Warriors in the past decade.

baron and Monta in 07 and 08
Curry and monta was a good backcourt too leading the league in overall production

Then there was Tim and Mitch during TMC.

The best backcourt of all time is easily James Harden and Russell Westbrook.

Oh yeah, never mind.

This.

I've never heard anyone just flat out say they are the best backcourt ever. Its always been just about pure shooting. The only other thing I can even think of is when Irving/Waiters vs Beal/Wall in a best youngest backcourt right now people were saying Curry/Thompson.

OP probably imagined it.

To be fair, Pip played the front court officially, even though he was Chicago's point forward.

But yeah, if you put Pip in the back court, he and MJ easily take out the Splash Brothers.

is saying that Thompson is Reggie Miller

Jordan and Scottie?
Jackson and Miller?
Isiah and Dumars?

Not sure I agree with that statement.

Splash Bros haven't done enough to deserve that title.

Zeke and Dumars would eat them alive at this point.

Backcourt means pg/sg.

Backcourt means PG/SG.

I'd say the best is probably West and Goodrich; also got Isiah/Dumars, Frazier/Monroe, Magic/Scott (or Nixon/Magic and Magic/Cooper), Porter/Drexler, Williams/DJ, Billups/Hamilton, Stockton/Hornacek...

Curry and Klay are surely making a name for themselves.

Not even close to being true I'll take a lot of backcourts in NBA history over Curry and Thompson.

Klay Thompson is overrated to some degree.
