I'll stay away from the political side of this ...

I was in downtown this weekend by the WTC. I was in town for the Gotham Classic, which I wrote about in the college hoops area if anyone is interested.

About two blocks from our hotel was this small park area behind the food court type thing of the WFC. They had set up an ice rink, and we took my buddy's kids there Saturday and Sunday morning. Tucked in the corner was the NY Police Memorial. It's just a small rock garden with a wall listing all the officer who've ever fallen in duty for NYC. It goes back several hundred years. I'd never even seen it. I took a couple pictures. The next morning we went back, and there were already pictures and flowers. By the time we were walking away it was covered in flowers. It was an eerie feeling.
