It's kinda like that old question, "if a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?" Same thing goes for the Hawks. If the Hawks are playing really good basketball but no one is in the arena to see it... are they really that good?

You have to go back 8 pages...over 240 topics...to find one on the Hawks that isnt started by one of you 3 or so Hawks fans. And its a topic in praise of the Hawks beating the Cavs.

Teams people are "salty" about dont have 250 topic stretches of not being mentioned.

People...dont care about the Hawks...and have little or nothing to say about them one way or the other. Stop pretending.

The Hawks arent on anyones mind.

Maybe by the end of the season they will be. For now? People are barely even aware of them. Much less upset about anything they have done. THe Hawks are still a background story.

You have to have a star that is box-office in this day and age if you haven't had consistent or at least recent postseason success in order to be talked about.

That's what the Hawks are lacking right now. But, if they continue to surprise people, who knows. Post-season success (eg making EC Finals) can quickly put you on the map.

I'm not even involved in all the drama on this forum, but most Hawks fans on this site even annoy the shit out of me. That's probably why. Personally, I am happy to see them doing well. I like to see small market teams succeed.
