They needed Monta Ellis to score 38 points just to beat the Austin Toros

Not really, it's more like he'll turn gold into shinier gold. Spurs wouldn't make the playoffs with the lineup they used today.

If Spurs can stay competitive with that lineup... I like their chances in a potential Spurs-Mavs matchup... Zone defense seemed to work to an extent (Rondo's not a superb shooter)... but it's tough to put stock in these RS games (Spurs won their first matchup against the Mavs for what it's worth)... As for the Mavs, you never know. Ellis seems like their MVP for better or worse (.41 FG% shooter in the playoffs, albeit small sample size)... Spurs have proven that deep, evened out teams can win though.

The Mavericks are going to be a top 5 team after that Rondo trade. I know there will be the tools that give ":oldlol: :oldlol: :oldlol: :oldlol: :oldlol:   :oldlol: :oldlol:" to that and continue to fool themselves, but Rondo makes that team a nightmare to defend. They gave up peanuts for the talent that they got in return with Rondo. Wait until he gets comfy in that system and with the players around him...all of those who underrate him will have their eyes opened.

Dallas definitely has the talent, we'll see how well it meshes over the long haul.

No such thing. Shit happens, or it doesn't.

LOL

Dallas has yet to beat any elite teams, they struggle mightily against a majority of the good teams in the NBA.

They are a 2nd round exit at best. Awfully thin up front and their defense is atrocious.

Spurs will repeat. They'll face Dallas in the WCF though IMO.

So long as they have Barea they have an answer to Lebron.

I'd trade the whole Knicks team for that Spurs bench

Yeah Chris Joseph finally decided to play good in an actual NBA game for a change. Chris is probably better than every current point guard the Knicks have now.
