certainly one of the top in the league... no excuses for Dirk now.... stacked roster, expensive roster, time to win it all

Definitely not. His shooting drags him down on my list. I would say end of the top 10.

Obviously not. He wasn't that impressive in his debut either.

He's always been top 3. He's such a HUGE A-HOLE though that nobody wants him on Team USA (think: Isaiah Thomas) to cement his place as top 3 PG.

He's pretty much a role player now, isn't he?

6 points, 7 rebounds, 9 assists.

Those are role player numbers, not franchise player numbers.

I know Boston fans always advocate that he's franchise player....but I don't know.

how many rings does the pg's above him have? :facepalm

rajon rondo is a point guard almost to a fault. he loves having those 2 point, 8 rebound, 13 assist games. he doesn't look to score, he looks to pass. everyone knows it, and yet, he still makes his teammates better. everyone knows he's not a great shooter but he still gets easy lay-ups. he's a modern-day fat lever and very few pg's are on his level.

You say that like he was some huge factor into the Celtics ring. Infact, he wasn't even in his prime and had 3 HOF's taking the heavy burden off him.

Put any PG above him right now in that same role he was back in 07/08 and the Celtics still win the title and are probably even more dominant.

that's ludicrous talk. no other pg plays the type of stifling on-ball defense that rondo does. he has been known to even give bran fits. he's a traditional pg that doesn't go into shot-jacking mode and he runs the offense better than any other pg in the league bar-none. only other pg i would put above him during that time would be cp3.

What time are you talking about ? 08 ?

From 10-12, he certainly has more than a case. Before he broke out, he was just a role player, as he is now.

John Wall can certainly play the role Rondo does too.

No, but he's a unique pg in this day and age. Someone I enjoy watching more than those chucking new-generation pointguards (with the exception of Westbrook, who plays with so much passion that I pardon his out or control plays and curry is very exciting to watch as well).

Back to Rondo, he's not the same since his injury. Hopefully we will see old playoffs Rondo again. That version of Rondo is the best pg in the league.
