Kobe ranks 123rd (out of 430) players in RPM right now... On the defensive side, he ranks 424th, just behind J.R. Smith

Kobe was one of the leaders in +/- throughout most of his career. As usual, you don't know what the **** you're talking about.

This. Pisses me the hell off that people are trying to conflate Kobe now to the ridiculous player in his prime. Kobe's living up to all the false narratives that people were pushing throughout his career now, and the trolls are eating it up. :facepalm

On basketball-reference.com, Plus/Minus Per 100 possessions (On Court) takes the margin of points-points allowed while they are on the court right? While Plus/Minus Net Per 100 possessions (On-Off) takes the margin of points-points allowed while they are on the court minus point-points allowed while they are off the court right? Whatever the case, Kobe's is incredibly bad right now. :oldlol:

The Boozer effect.

Can we see the numbers since Davis and Price was inserted into the starting 5?

No one can compare to Kobe's wide-ranging negative impact. He's playing badly, but that's just the beginning of the big picture. He's the main reason Dwight and Pau left. He's the reason Bosh and Melo didn't sign on. In the past, being a free agent and getting a max offer from the Lakers was considered a monumental compliment and opportunity. Now, significant players avoid the Lakers and dream of playing for the Clippers or the Warriors. He seems to have alienated Nash, Boozer, and Lin. When he passed Jordan in points scored, most of his own teammates sheepishly congratulated him, with very little enthusiasm, like kids ordered by their parents to wish their creepy uncle a happy birthday. The only guy who seems to somewhat like him is "Shaggy P," a rash, immature, low IQ player who's taking more and more bad shots in imitation of his role model. He'll eat up even more salary room next year, while rationalizing that the Lakers "still have enough for a max contract" (never mind that having Pau AND Dwight wasn't enough). There's no way to paint Kobe's final contract and final years with the Lakers as anything but a complete failure and disappointment.

Kobe definitely has players that are playing along side him like Manu, Parker, Leonard, Green, etc.

Lakers are stuck with him. No trade value. I'm tipping another 4 years before the Lakers will be in the playoffs.

Kobe definitely has players that are playing along side him like Manu, Parker, Leonard, Green, etc.

Parker (so not one of the Spurs' scrubs like Daye) is currently in the 300-350 range.

Why is his RPM so bad considering he has players like Duncan (currently 3rd in the entire league), Manu, Leonard, Green etc beside him?

Also, Ed Davis has a positive RPM. He has the same cast as Kobe.

It just so happens that Tim is having a much more effective season than Kobe.

It can't be from earlier in the season though. First two columns correspond to games played and minutes per game.

Willing to give YMF the benefit of the doubt though. That's not his style.
