They're too jumpshot heavy... Too reliant on 3's and you can always expect one of either Bogut or Lee to be injured. Not sold on these guys yet at all...
WCF at most... most likely a 2nd round exit. Maybe even a 1st rd exit if they play the thunder in the first rd.

Except they're not. They still blow teams out even when the 3 ball isn't falling.
Also, they're near the top of the league in points in the paint.

Meaning that their two best players shoot the 3 too much. Way too much. and that'll forever be their downfall for the next few years.
Keep chucking, Steph!

What an old fashioned mindset. You're probably in that Charlotte Hornets or Lakers mindset that shooting 3's is overrated.
The future is here, the Warriors are contenders. Deal with it.

They're the best scoring duo in the league this year, and both of them are very efficient, so I think their shot selection is just fine.
Also, Warriors are near the top of the league in PIP. Funny how you didn't respond to that part.
If Bogut is 100% in the playoffs, they'll win it all.

Why respond to an obvious alt? I mean, his ****ing title says lemvp. He is lebronxrings/dubeta/jt/one of them for sure.
Why ?

But they do shoot too many 3's doe...
Their record and literally every statistic says otherwise.
But they do shoot too many 3's doe...
Last 4 NBA champions relied a lot on 3's.
2014 - Spurs shot lights out.
2013 - Heat and Spurs traded 2 or 3 games on 3-pointers.
2012 - Battier and Miller made the difference.
2011 - Mavs shot lights out against the West.
Ball movement, defense all were important too. But the 3-point ball really made a difference for all 4 of those championship teams.

The "you rely too heavily on 3's" argument falls apart when it's Thompson and Curry.

Yeah, and how has that worked out for them the past 2-3 years? :oldlol:
Again, potential first round exits.

I expect them to get exposed in the POs

This is 2014. 3s are a part of the game right now and jump shooting teams win championships

Pretty damn good actually. Being a perennial playoff team in the West means you're very close to being a legit title contender. Warriors seem to have taken that step this year.
And again, your argument is factually incorrect anyway. http://www.teamrankings.com/nba/stat/points-in-paint-per-game
Jump shooting team my ass.

Bogut and Lee have been injured. That has a lot to do with it

Are you serious?
They nearly took a 2-0 going home against the Spurs in 2013 playoffs. This was after they upset the Nuggets. First time Steph and Klay were in the playoffs by the way.
They took the Clippers to 7 games without Bogut last season in a series that was heavily in favor of the Clippers due to the whole Sterling scandal.
They've actually overachieved last 2 seasons.

At the end of the day, they were/are first round exits. 2nd round is probable this year, and the WCF is their ceiling. NUFF SAID, boy.

Maybe so due to the super stacked Western Conference. Either way, the WCF winner will demolish the Bran and the Cavs in the Finals.
And there's no excuse for the Cavs not to win the East.
saying GSW is a potential 1st round exit is not saying much. Everybody in the west is a potential first round exit, and i don't mean that in a anything can happen kind of way. GSW is one of 4 contenders in my view with Memphis, Dallas, and SAS.

reigning champion spurs will likely not have HCA this year. That's how stacked the West is right now.

West is stacked. Going to come down to matchups and injuries in the Western Conference.

If this warriors squad is a jumpshooting team, then the last 4 rings were won by "jump shooting" teams who rely on the 3.
blacknapalm
12-23-2014, 03:41 AM
absolutely. calling them strictly a jump shooting team is naiive. this isn't the same meandering, slightly unfocused jump shooting team that jackson coached. kerr has that offense revved up to get open looks. draymond green might be the best role player in the league and he's tremendous on defense. he's just taken a step forward in his overall game. a great defensive wing player to go w/ a great defensive interior player that rebounds is huge in the nba. bogut is also a great passer out of the high post. then factor in barnes and thompson that are versatile and can also defend.
that makes them a top level defensive team and the metrics bear that, defensive efficiency included. thing is, it also depends on bogut's health. he's their main interior defender and rebounder. it's pretty much bogut or bust. they can make a nice run w/out him but they won't get to the finals. if possible, they need to make a serious push for o'neal or smith.
but yes, a healthy warriors team? contenders.

I bet you haven't watched more than 2 Warriors games this year and simply looked at their win/loss record.
Hilarious that you deny you're an Alt :oldlol:
