Could you imagine if the 3pt line existed the 60's? How much greater would Wilt be when he could reportedly do 24ft fadeaways? I'd imagine his stats would increase across the board.

I predict a statline (prime scoring years) of 45ppg/30rpg/10bpg/10apg/10spg

The ABL was the first league with a 3 point shot back in 1961. The ABA later adopted this in 1967 than the NBA finally in 1979. College I think in 1986.

You're probably joking/trolling, but it's people like you that make the other ISHiots completely disregard anyone that played before color TV.

Wilt developed his famous move, the fadeaway jump shot.

Free throws aren't important. They don't win games. 3pt Fadeaways do

Didn't you guys know about Wilt's hook shot from 30 feet ? He always used to bet his teammates that he could hit 10 in a row and he never lost. Theres no video evidence though but take it from me it happened.

Ether :applause: I think if Wilt incorporated the hook into his free throw, he'd probably be the greatest ft shooter of all time.

Can you imagine Wilt's FT% if Tex Winter and the NCAA (and NBA) had not banned the dunking of FTs...solely based on Winter's EYE-WITNESS account of Chamberlain doing so?

Can you imagine Wilts PPG, if Wilt played 1VS1 instead of 5VS5

Well, early in his career, and playing with supporting casts that couldn't have beaten a middle girl's school team at the time, it was more like 1vs5.

Pretty remarkable that he nearly beat the '62 and '65 Celtics by himself.

Don't need eye-witnesses when Wilt has a 48" vertical + 4.2s 40 dash time. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know he could dunk from the freethrow-line. He could probably lay it in from the 3pt line if he wanted to as well.

Of course, they banned FT dunks because it would slow down the game, and potentially cause injury to star players.

I'm pretty sure his free throw problem (and most any other players in the 50% realm) is psychological. Anyone should be able to hit 7 for 10 on concentration alone, regardless of form... In fact, most of the players who shot terrible at the line reportedly do shoot at least 7 for 10 in practices, anyone from Dwight, to Shaq to Wilt. They all shot terrible in games yet okay in practice. It's gotta be psychological.

Mmm, I don't know about that. Some players just have AWFUL form:
